Our second visit here. In July we sat outdoors and the end of day sun was warm and toasty. In October, it was 58 with 25 MPH... winds so we sat indoors by the window. We came for the beer and loved the food. Very good beer, delicious eats and outstanding service.
We waited at least 30 minutes, with beers from the bar. They do have a digital waiting system so you know where you are in line.... Bartenders were attentive and friendly and working as fast as they could. Only brewery that brews their beer ON ISLAND. Goodvariety of beers (light to dark). The star of the show wasn?t the beer, the ambience, or our amazing waitress - it was thesteamed mussels! The bread is warm, soft, and delicious. They don?t skimp on the butter in the white wine sauce. It?s veryflavorful and the portion was a good size. They gave us spoons, seafood forks, plenty of napkins, and wet wipes. Delicious truffle fries and burgers. They offer their own also very tasty beer. Brewery atmosphere inside and some tables... outside. Very good service. The staff regularly refills water. I really enjoyed my stay. Read more
We ate here recently with a large group of 18 people. We ordered a large variety of food and EVERYONE raved about how good it... was! From mussels and chicken wings to pizza, ribs, steak tips and enchiladas...did I miss anything?!? Oh yeah...THE BEER!! Ihad the East Chop golden ale and it was just absolutely fresh and delicious. Very puzzling... We were here a few weeks ago and it was very good, our server engaging and efficient, food served... promptly. Last night a completely different experience. The server had no sense of urgency, the food took 45 minutes, the pizzawas warm not hot, the burgers well done (ordered medium), and, perhaps the strangest thing, brought out the extra marinara saucewe asked for saying ?here but it's going to be cold? and indeed it was. It would have taken literally a minute to heat the saucein a pan. I've been a hospitality professional for 20 years and I understand the ups and downs of service. Based on our first(positive) experience, this was a bad night for the restaurant. Really though, consistency should be a priority. There?s also asneaky little 3% extra charge that is not explained or pointed out. Would I recommend the restaurant? Probably because they canusually accommodate seating without a long wait, prices are somewhat reasonable, and the server we had the first time was verygood. We had an amazing dinner here. We got the bbq chicken pizza which was great, had a nice thin crust. You can see right into the... kitchen and watch them throw the dough and fire the brick oven. The beer was also delicious, and they had good options. Greatatmosphere overall super fun. My one issue was that the truffle parm fries we got were too plentiful we didn?t need half of whatwe got which was a mountain. Order only with a big party is my recommendation Read more
Really great place. The building is charming, the staff is great and the food was fantastic. The location is super easy to get... to as well. We had the wings, which were crispy and spicy. We also had a fish sandwich and the power bowl, with the Seasonalpumpkin ale and a dark beer. It was all great. From where we were sitting, we could see all the food going out and it alllooked delicious. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. Loved it! Will come back for sure Read more
