The pictures that are online for the Colonial Room are very misleading, they make this place out to look much more grand than it... actually is. The pictures online are actually of the ballroom areas, they're beautiful and well-lit and well decorated. Theactual dining area is old, small, dark and disappointing. We stayed at the Drake hotel and had Eggs benedict for breakfast at$15 each. We had really high hopes for this place since we had seen quite a number of good reviews. We were the only customersin the restaurant at the time, but it took 35 minutes for two breakfast plates to come out. We were served coffee in the carafebut it was only lukewarm when we received it..We also had a small parfait, which was even more disappointing. It was basicallytwo or three tablespoons of regular yogurt on a plate with fruit and a little bit of sauce smeared across it! Unbelievable. Iwould not come here again. Read more

Review is for high tea and not meal service. Atmosphere: 5. Lovely fireplace seating. Decor and warmth of room was very... nice Presentation: 4. Table was a bit crowded for the # of things on it Explanation: 1. This fell short. There were fivejams/compotes on the table. No explanation of what each was. No description or summary of tea sandwiches when served, nor ofthe type of scones, bread and deserts. When asked, was hurriedly told what they thought it was. Huge missed opportunity tosell high tea. Food: 3. the bread on the sandwiches was dry on the top, which means they are sitting out in the kitchen. Teawas good quality loose tea but limited choices. Only one black tea out of nine total. However they do replenish the disheswhich is a nice touch Service: 3.5. kind, nice but not knowledgeable about high tea. Requests for refills were promptly takencare of, I just wish we would have had more explanation about what they served. The staff and room made it nice experienceoverall but will not return for high tea. Read more

Very nice looking place, but we were mislead. When we booked online the website said $31-50/person for the colonial room. When... we got there it was $100/person and the colonial room was not even open. Certainly opulent and great looking food and ambiancebut very disappointed getting mislead. Read more

The death by chocolate is very good! The ice cream has to be ordered as a separate order but worth doing. Really want to try... their high tea! Their brussel sprout salad is super, but order it at the restaurant for some reason it's a dollar more at thebar. The Sunday brunch is extensive, something there for everybody, and the food was fresh until the very end. Read more

Wanted to give this place a try after seeing it on open table. The photos looked really great with the outdoor seating area.... However, when we got there it was booked for a shower. I wish it would've stated that particular area was not available for thatday that was one of the reasons I booked it. But, the food was phenomenal! Everything was well seasoned! The mango margaritaswere a hit! I will be returning here hopefully I'll get the chance to experience the outdoor seating next time. Read more
