Came here for a friend's birthday after a movie at Yorktown. Also, have come here for a girls night. Both times the GM, Mario,... was so friendly and had the chef make some special vegan roles. This was a nice setting for dinner and drinks. Nice dim light setting. We ordered the stir fry which was good in flavor, got a... little heat to it. We ordered the Philadelphia roll, and they have gluten free soy sauce to offer. They have vegan and glutenfree options. The drinks cost about 14-15$. The waitress was very accommodating. Dinner at Kona was a mediocre experience. The servers, staff, and atmosphere was perfectly fine and our waitress was very kind... and friendly. When it comes to the food, nothing really stands out too much. For the higher price, the dishes are smaller thanyou would expect and the food was pretty normal. Definitely one of the best places to eat in Oak Brook! I've been dining here for ten years and never once had a bad experience....
