Vickie was AWESOME. First time eating here and everything was SO good. Not one complaint about anything. Burger came a little... undercooked but that was fixed instantly... especially when the kitchen was closed down at 9pm. I'm a server and I understandthat happens sometimes.... it was DELICIOUS. This place is a gem! The atmosphere is one of the coziest I?ve ever experienced- full of weird paintings and decorations. Had the double pork chop dinner. Excellent! Juicy chops with tender fried onion strings on top. I tried the pizza soup as well.... I will do that again too! Lemon drop martini is my drink of choice when I go there. Always good Read more
I went here for a work lunch, the environment is meant for drinking and such. The waitress I had was super nice and straight... forward. I got an appetizer of chicken wings and it was super good. On the other hand my main dish, the pan fried walleye, didnot taste very good. Something was definetly off. I have had walleye at other places with no problem. Everyone else seemed tolike their food though, so over all I would give this place a try!! Read more
Overall good visit at Erv's which was our first time. We had tried a few times before and it was a long wait so clearly is a... popular local spot. We had great service and overall good food. The onion soup was spot on good and the fish with the fridayfish fry was really good. The only disappointment was the reuben sandwich. The toast was on the burnt side and the corned beefwas very dry/stringy. One "off" sandwich happens and we will gladly return and try something else yummy. Read more
Although the food is amazing. I stopped tonight with my son to get a growler for the first time and this is what I received. Not... only that the bartender was intoxicated. I watched her pour the growler myself she didn?t try to get any type of foam out oranything. This is what I paid almost $36 for. Not only that you can clearly see it?s an old juice container that?s been clearedout. This is not OK in anyway shape or form. This is not what it supposed to be. Great local spot since 1979 with fast service, good food and 32 beers on tap. We ordered the Tuna Melt and Reuben and were very... happy with both. The Tuna Melt was open faced, with crispy bread and flavorful tuna. The Reuben was served on toasted rye, andthe sweet potato fries came with a side of maple syrup, which was a first for me, and I loved it! It's understandable how thisplace has survived this long. The food was awesome! Specifically the haystack shredded onions (very crispy)....also the fish fry...the battered fish was... perfectly seasoned. It had salt and pepper! You do not have to play with your food! Delivered fresh and hot. Read more
