It's extremely rare that we throw out food, but we ordered enough for leftovers and trashed all of it. It was the worst Chinese... food I've ever had, and I'm not exaggerating. We got General Tso's and sesame chicken, an order of pork fried rice, and anorder of crab Rangoon. The chicken all tasted like burnt oil, the Rangoon wasn't filled with anything, and the fried rice wasokay. At the end of the meal all we could do was laugh. We stopped just short of requesting a refund, but this was a genuinelyawful meal completely devoid of pleasant taste. Avoid at all cost. Read more

Stopped in for sushi and it was expensive and not very good. Roll portion was small and covered in tempura flakes so it was... like taking a big bite of sawdust. Staff was all very nice and I was seated and fed very quickly but I was not thrilled enoughwith the cost or food. Spent over $20 and left hungry. Might give them another try since they are the only sushi in Oak Creekbut it might be worth taking the trip to Japanica or Kyoto instead if you're on the south side Read more

This was by far the worst Asian food experience I have had in Milwaukee over the past 3 years. The Thai-style Fried Rice was... mushy, tasteless and greasy. Literally no flavor at all. Grey colored rice with only three small slivers of pork on top. TheCrispy Spicy Beef Tenderloin tasted like it was cooked in week old oil and had a yellow hazy color to all the dish elements. Could only stomach a couple of bites and feel ill as I type this review. Also left a greasy feeling in my mouth that is stillthere after brushing my teeth! Two dishes completely devoid of taste and swimming in grease ended up being almost $40.00,carryout! Do yourself a favor and avoid eating here at all costs. Drive a ways out and get something cheaper and better. Read more

Have eaten at Lotus many times over the years and the food has always been pretty solid standard fare. Went last weekend and was... very surprised to discover my tuna roll was filled with. . . well, I’m not sure what it was. Gassed, dyed, probably not evenreally tuna. The vivid watermelon pink color was fake, it was seeping onto the rice. Dry, sticky texture, flavorless too. Therest of the food wasn’t quite up to snuff either (bland, dry,) but these bizarre red “fish” scraps pretending to be sushigrade tuna have convinced me to not come here again. Cutting corners is not acceptable where sushi is concerned. Read more

Update: 5/11: it’s been a little over a year since we’ve discovered this place. We’ve tried many other restaurants that... sell sushi but nothing in the Milwaukee area compares. Been coming here every Monday since last year and will continue to eattheir absolutely delicious, well made sushi until I depart next summer to my next assignment. I used to pass by this restaurantdaily on my way to work or whenever I go to kohl’s and Target. The building was an average looking building that advertisedmultiple different cuisines on the outside. From watching all of the Kitchen Nightmare shows, I expected this to be gross andbland Asian food. We still decided to give it a try because it had a descent rating plus we wanted some sushi other thanMeijer’s. Now, we are eating Monday Sushi special every week. It is very delicious and quality is great. We normally get 3-5rolls between the two of us. Amount of sushi varies per roll, so we try to get no more than $40/$50 worth. We are used to eatingsushi from Japan from our last assignment, and this is very comparable in taste. Quality: 5 stars Taste: 5 stars Presentation:Average for takeout Specialty rolls: 5 stars Normal rolls: 4 stars (when ordering through specials menu) Price: 4 stars (can getexpensive) Location: conveniently located on Howell, accessible from both sides.
