Decided to take my young African American teenage son out on a Sunday Sushi date and support a local restaurant. Shortly after... arriving, ordering & receiving the wrong order, dirty silverware, poor service from waitress as well unprofessional responses.As we attempted to look pass the poor service I asked the waitress for more napkins at which time she basically refused to givea sufficient amount of napkins & stated " Well how many napkins do you need"? Very rude, abrupt and derogatory. I decided toleave without enjoying our meal nor ordering further. When asked for the bill the waitress continued to make unwarrantedcomments with a smirk as she printed the bill & informed the "White" clientele of the occurrence as they stared at us leaving asif we had stolen something. This was my first time trying this place. If you love sushi like I do this is NOT the place to go!!! Im sure he put hot sauce on... top of my roll instead of spicy mayo and im pretty sure the ingredients they described on the menu was not actually in the rollwhen he served it to me. And for some reason they charge almost $16 for sparkling sake in a bottle! PASS! Read more

I wanted to like this restaurant this review is written on customer service and food. We ordered 4 rolls and they charge $1 for... halfway fill eel & spicy mayo sauces. The worker was very rude like she didn?t want to be there. Rolls were ok I?ve had betterand they didn?t label containers. I won?t be back it?s better in the area. Read more

This place is definitely down home. From the moment I walked in I knew they are doing everything themselves. The food came out... quick and hot and fresh. We ordered multiple things and finished them all. If you are in the area it?s a must try. They evenhave a bar and the game is always on! Read more

My boyfriend and I are big on sushi. Unfortunately my first time visiting was not the best. I did order for take out and my... avocado roll was mainly rice and seaweed wrap and one tiny size of avocado and Our spicy salmon was a foul metalic taste.I amunsure if I would be visiting again or if this was a fluke. But my boyfriend and I were not happy about the presentation. Wejust thought to try something local. Read more

So upon my arrival, I immediately knew i was in for an authentic experience with a hint of hometown chicago style thrown into... the mix. No frills, no thrills, just good food and friendly owners. The salmon was fresh and delicious. The Udon noodle bowl wasjust what the soul needed. And thier special sauce, that they put on some of their signatures rolls, tasted like a mix of honey,maple syrup, and eel sauce. Oh man was it good! Will be back next time I'm in town! Read more
