We have never had Caribbean food. What a wonderful introduction and a breath of fresh food choice to the Oak Harbor area. We had... the Tuesday special of oxtail, coconut rice and plantains. The oxtail was tender and had a great flavor. We've never hadplantains and now understand why chefs like cooking with them. They are absolutely delicious. We are anxious to try the goatstew next. ????Incredibly expensive for very small portion...Literally 2 wings(2 flats and 2 short drums) with a handful of rice $12.52 +... tip = $14.83 ... unfortunately i had already paid when i saw how i was ripped off and didnt wanna spend time there Fter long dayof work... GUESS WHO IS NEVER GOING BACK?? ????... for that price i can get a a real meal at tokyo stop++++ the utensils are thecheapest sht from walmart on ripped half napkin(not even the brand one)... it aint even covid huh.. This place was delicious!! Got there at the very end so we missed a couple things, but it is worth every penny! The Jerk even... had the right kick to it! We will definitely be coming back and trying the plantains. Read more
Aug 2, 2021 Shocked on how awful this food was! Usually little spots like this are the best. My husband got a supposed to be... hot sandwich but was room temperature. He couldn't even eat it, (now this man eats anything), the meat was so sloppy and themayonnaise (not sure if it was) was a big ol blob right in the middle, along with a ton of other sauces, i mean there was a lotgoing on in there! not that wrapping the burger in-side-out wasn't a clue to bad food. But we also got Mac an cheese for theoff spring it was different but that's ok but cold? Why?? I am a cook aswell and I know that this food was definitely in thedanger zone! So $15 out the window. I don't know if these two young girls (say 18-20) were the regular workers but therecustomer service skills where dead, not one smile nor grin. Sorry guys I would give you 0 if i could. Read more
What a gem! My coworker and I finally stopped for lunch on someone else's recommendation and we were not disappointed. I got the... 2 chicken thighs meal with coconut rice and black beans and cabbage. Delicious! Probably the best smoked chicken I've ever had!So tender. And if you like heat, go for the hot spice. It's not too overpowering but lingers and will give you a littlenose/brow sweat. I will be back soon to sample more! Read more
Got the Jerk chicken and shrimp combo with cabbage and rice, as well as the ox tail bowl. Very delicious, homey and hearty meal... but also very salty. A bit overpriced for what you get. Very friendly lady though. Read more
The food is amazing, a lot of depth and flavor, we had the lamb curry over rice, curry chicken rice bowl, Mac and cheese, and... fried ripe plantains. I would come here again in a heartbeat, plus the service was good as well. Read more
