My sister is in town visiting and she wanted to go dancing tonight. I thought the best place to do that was Off The Hook. We... arrived around 10pm and started dancing right away but we were the only two people on the dance floor. We were excited when twoother women got on the dance floor with us and we tried to dance with them but they didn't like us near them so they reported usto the bouncer and we got KICKED OUT OF THE BAR for dancing with these two women. I'm so incredibly confused. We were sober,just trying to dance...apparently you aren't allowed to dance near others. I'm still horrified that I brought my sister to thisbar tonight. So embarrassing, trying to show her a good time in my town, ended up being a disaster at that bar. I have neverbeen kicked out of a pla ce before! We walked to Oak Habor Tavern and we were greeted with so much love and enthusiasm. Alsomany patrons at Oak Harbor Tavern had stories of getting kicked out from Off the Hook tonight as well. Off the Hook treated usso poorly tonight we will never be going back. I would like to file a complaint with the owner too. Your bouncers tonight weredownright abusive how they manhandled us out for just dancing near two other women. Absolutely bizarre encounter. What the heck? Read more
I stopped in to this local watering hole for a drink after dinner. It was certainly quiet, but seemed to pick up around 10pm on... a Friday night. A friendly crowd, and attentive bar staff. If you're looking for a place to have a few drinks, but quiet enoughto chat with your friends, this is your spot. Would have liked a bit more drink selection, and one more bartender for a busyFriday night. Read more
Of the hook is insanely loud, easily reaching over 100 db according to my app. Additionally, while I was there, there was barely... standing room it was so crowded. Waiting in line for drinks took almost 40 minutes for a sub par drink. I'm not much for the barscene and this place reminds me why. Read more
Great local bar with a fun, laid-back atmosphere. Owner was very accommodating on a quiet mid-week night - pub food was well... above average and he customized our orders (probably because it was a slow night, but much appreciated all the same). Easy spotto grab a brew and soak in the local vibe. And definitely order the steak fries :) Read more
Have only been twice. Not really my type of crowd. But a fun set up. There's a stage, small dance floor, a beer pong table, and... pool tables. The owner is probably the best part of this place. He made our date night much more enjoyable the first night wewent there. I don't know what is up with his staff though, but the last time we were there, they were slammed, and the poorgirls just couldn't handle it. As former bartenders ourselves, we were patient but everyone else around were pretty upset withtheir service. They couldn't get drinks right and seemed really irritated at everything. Latin night on Thursdays is always a good time. Good environment on the weekends but the DJ throws the vibe off playing random... tiktok songs at times. I think the venue could really benefit from hiring female bartenders and servers to the staff as well.Perhaps female dancing entertainment as well. Overall a great place, it has potential. Read more
It was dead quiet between 7 and 8 pm. Food was reasonably priced. Chicken pot pie was OK. At least it is different for Pub food.... The wood bar is beautiful. Read more
