I'm from the mountains and this was some of the best barbecue I've ever had. Everything just fell off the bone and was juicy and... tender. I got the grandaddy plate with half a chicken, ribs and brisket and it was all phenomenal. Service was fast and ourwaitress Christina was very kind, attentive and knowledgeable. WOW! What a grand experience. Best pork bar-b-que I've had in some time. The sauce was so good, we bought a bottle to go... home with us. Codee H. is an excellent server. So thankful we got her. Great, simple barbecue and very kind staff! Classic sides and a nice selection of smoked meats. We ended up trying the pork, the... brisket sandwich and we really enjoyed the coleslaw, fries, hush puppies and the macaroni and cheese is great! It?s hard to findgood barbecue and not to mention it?s at the beach! We dined in one night and then we picked up another night and bothexperiences were excellent! Great BBQ. I had the two meats plate and opted for the ribs and smoked chicken. The house BBQ sauce is too die for. They also... offer several other sauces to use with your meal. My plate came with hush puppies and my choice of two sides. I enjoyed thehush puppies. I got the BBQ (red) slaw which was really good and the potato salad which was pretty good. They have areasonable kids menu with about six or eight meal options. About $5.99 each and it includes a drink. My wife got the veggieplate which comes with hush puppies and your choice of 4 side dishes which she really enjoyed. Overall it was good service andgood food. We ate here twice on our beach vacation last year and I?ve been waiting a full year to get back here. I?ve eaten lots of BBQ... across NC and the nation at large and this is the best I?ve had. I?m the type to inhale food normally, so tonight at dinner myhusband thought something was wrong with me because I kept pausing while eating - to savor and enjoy!! So so good. We?ll be backthis week.
