I’m normally never the one to write a bad review but just don’t go here! Me, my sister and my brother in law came here for... lunch and safe to say we’re never going back again. The service was excellent and everyone was pleasant except for the food.We ordered the whitefish sandwich and 6 hours later all 3 of us get the absolute worst food poisoning. They fed us contaminatedfish. The sickness is still hitting me. Why is a nice Italian restaurant serving contaminated fish? Very disappointed. Read more
We had a recurrent lunch reservation for a large group, which has been our annual event for many years. Unexpectedly, we were... told that the private room was not available. It was tough to have a conversation in the common space with others eating andmusic playing. We are disappointed with that and will be reconsidering bringing groups here. However, on much more positivenote, the lunch service was efficient an excellent with Jenna masterfully navigating individual orders and managingexpectations. The options and the food were excellent, and I am told desserts did not disappoint. Overall, great for lunch butbe cautious if using for business purposes, as standards have shifted since COVID. Ensure private room is reserved ahead oftime--or find other spots nearby. Read more
Great place for classic italian. Waitstaff is very friendly & the manager was so accommodating. We had a large party... celebrating a graduation and they were more than willing to reformat the table layout so that the bulk of our group could sittogether. Food is Italian well prepared . Dining area is elegantly laid out. Dress attire would be a step above casual. Menu varies from... pizza to shrimp dishes. Prices are above average but expected. There is table service with highly attentive waiter (Oscar), whomade sure to explain any questions we had about the menu. I had the gulf shrimp risotto which was prepared perfectly. Otherdiners had the gnocchi, veal medallions, and scallops on fettuccine which were deemed excellent!. Phenomenal staff and excellent food are what keeps us coming back. Their take-out is exceptionally packed and organized. Dining... there is clean, safe and delicious. Prices have increased recently, but it's worth it. Anytime you are looking for an intimatedinner for two or a special night out with friends, it is the place to go. Francescas is what I like to call the MOST CONSISTENT restaurant in Chicago!! Like they can do NO WRONG!! They are the model of... excellence! Food is always great here! Food is good, but a little pricey. I had the Pollo Milanese. Chicken was tender and tasty, but the vodka sauce on the rigatoni... could have been spiced more. Somewhat bland.
