This was my first time ever trying Shake Shack. I visited the Oak Lawn location for lunch a couple weeks ago. This location is... fairly new (opened within the past year or so). I got the Avocado Bacon Chicken sandwich (thick and tasty), fries (crispy andgolden) and a Chocolate Churro Shake (so... So... GOOD. Like amazingly impressive, at least to me). The shake is a new flavorand I'm not sure how long it'll be there. Additional doting on the shake... My dining partner, who isn't big on desserts, alsoliked the shake very much. It's cinnamon churro frozen custard, spiced dark chocolate sauce, and cinnamon waffle cone crumbles.There were crumbles in like every sip took. That may or may not be your thing, but it was muy bien to me. As you can see,there's a covered outdoor patio area you can eat at, which is pretty cool. Decided to try this spot out. I wasn't all that impressed. The food wasn't bad, but I've had better. What bothered me the... most was the warmness off the food I ordered. I got the impression the food was cooked to order, so when I picked up my order,I was a little surprised to learn nothing was hot. Everything was just...warm. Even the drink was warm...like it was poured atroom temp and had ice added to it to chill it. Given how much the meal cost ($20+ for a burger, fries, and drink) I justexpected a better experience. Not sure of it's that location or the norm with the chain. The place did have a chill vibe, butI wasn't all that impressed with the food. Came here on Mother's Day and bought $50 worth of burgers. The avacado bacon burger was disappointing - it was literally a... shaving of an avacado piece that was hard. The sauce was supposed to be on there too and that was a droplets worth. I triedordering online and the system wasn't working so I went in to order. It wasn't that crowded and it took 25 minutes to wait for 4burgers to go. Read more
I should've checked the reviews before coming here but at least I can say that I tried Shake Shack. The food quality is good but... the price point is high. I dined in with my daughter who barely eats but hey, we thought we were pulling up to a fancyrestaurant and when we walked in I was surprised. We weren't greeted! I realized after standing in the wrong place that I neededto go to the "kiosk" to order our food (the main door had signs that stated out of order). The setup is cafeteria chic I guess,you place your order and when it's ready you get a text to pick it up. As I stated before the food quality is good but for 2people $40 isn't cheap. I also wanted to tip the guy who cleaned the tables he was nice, so I hope that the staff are paidwell. Also the blood orange citrusade was great and the pickles are good ???? Read more
Dissatisfied?.. Highly Dissatisfied! This was my first visit and I won?t return. The burgers are Wendy?s dollar menu patties. ... The are the exact same size and taste, so I?m confident they must have the same suppliers. With the cost of the burger Iexpected it to taste well, and it did not. The food was, hot but for some odd reason they had the air conditioning going, so itwas freezing in the restaurant. It?s about 10 degrees outside and the ceiling fans are blowing on the patio. I paid $31 for 2small cokes, a small shake and two small burgers. My mother did say the strawberry shake was delicious, so at least one part ofthe meal was good. Underwhelming food portion, but tasty nonetheless. As shown next to a normal sized mouse and also an amazom remote, the chicken... portion is REALLY SMALL! The sandwich was still tasty though and the chicken was tender. The sauce they added was alsogood. Had a shake as well, and it was OK. Ive definitely had better, but also have had worse. For a place with Shake in itsname, I expected a much better shake. It is not thick at all and does not have that ice cream feel/taste as a proper shakeshould have. Great work guys!!! Cashuer/customer service was top notch. The young lady handled the long line very very well. Correct and... accurate order taken. Great attitude and demeanor. To-go order took about 15 minutes; from ordering until receiving the textmessage stating that my order was ready. NO Complaints with wait time as it was " dinner" rush hour. Food is fresh andHOT. I was looking forward to eating at this place but was disappointed. The staff was friendly. I felt like the order was too... expensive for the burgers for not to be cooked right. I was on my lunch break so I didn?t even bring it to anyones attentionbecause I didn?t have enough time. The shake and fries were amazing though. Read more
