I had an excellent fish and chips would turn into service. There is a music being played near the bar which added to the... ambiance. My one colleague had scallops and my son had surf and turf. There was a lovely color throughout the restaurant gave amodern touch to the Tudor style interior. This restaurant is a good option if you do not want to go downtown Chicago and isattached to the Carlton hotel where my friend was staying the night. We've been going to Barclay's for years now. It's become our go to place when no one can agree on dinner. The food is always... fresh and delicious. Drinks are good as well. All if the staff is great. We've been asking for the same server for a few yearsbecause we all like her so much and she remembers our drinks so we don't really have to order them. Pleasant enough, service satisfactory, we went for a Thanksgiving buffet. Food a little above average, decent variety, average... tab/bill for this type of event. Setting and seating are very nice, normal menu usually a bit better. Read more
Amazing prime rib. Bartenders are exceptional and super friendly. It is a true neighborhood hangout.
