The vibe is a little more "industrial" than "home-y," but the people are cool, and the coffee is good.
I've been to a lot of coffee shops, and I might go so far as to say this is my favorite. Poetry and Prose is unlike any other... fancy coffee beverage I've ever had, and the GF/vegan jam bars are to die for. I've never had a cocktail here, but I'm surethey'd be just as amazing. Small selection of wine/beer, and their charcuterie plates are fantastic (and they have gluten freebread!). Online ordering is also so great for fast and easy pickup. Read more

I?ve been wanting to try Brew Point since they opened in Oak Park. The spot was super cozy. I wanted something winter-ish and... the Cozy Coquito (see winter drink menu) was calling me. A perfect blend of espresso, coconut, maple syrup, and some specialwinter spices ? it was a vibe in a cup. Hands down, this drink was added to my top 5. Hubs LOVED the Warm Flannel Chai. Great place to just hangout. Espresso and snickerdoodle cookie was excellent. Prices were average which was just over $7... altogether. It's a great place to stretch out, hang, and/or get work done. The staff is friendly and helpful yet quick withservice. Read more
I really love the place itself and the drinks are always well done! But I do have to point the fact that some of the staff have... some very nasty attitudes that need to checked before a customer does it for them , like myself. Other than that, it?s fine. Read more
