Food is usually great each time with a few misses over past 10 years. The professionalism and courtesy from some of the staff is... extremely poor. The prices are high, but portion sizes are exceptional. If they could improve the customer service they wouldearn higher reviews. Read more

Met this gentleman that own's this business in a completely separate circumstance and was very excited to try this after... previously learning about it from a local review. Just attempted to call to place an order, but was told per the VM none areaccepted by phone (only tried the Greenfield location). No problem. Actually placed an order on-line and received aconfirmation number (have a pic). Went to pick it up and ultimately was told "we don't do that." No record of my order. Wouldhave stayed to order in person, but only 3 persons picked up their food within the time I stayed. Went to Detroit Soul instead. Read more

If you want soul food this is one of the better places to go. There are no "church servings" here. They fill it up till it... overflows. And the food smells and looks delicious. The taste would have you under your seat. I wasnt crazy about the factthat ee had to order through a bullet proof glass. It took away from the home feeling. And that everything was served in a to-gocontainer. (Maybe all of that is a post Covid protocol.) Otherwise I really enjoyed the food. Read more

I ordered the baked turkey wings with cabbage, macaroni and cheese and peach cobbler for dessert. The turkey was a little dry,... the macaroni and cheese didn't really taste cheesy but the cabbage and cobbler was DELISH. The portions were decent but notworth over $20. Read more

I just left Motor City Soul Food. I ordered 2 meals, Turkey/Dressing, RoastBeef/ Rice, Cabbage, Yams. That Was wonderful. I also... ordered a Large Potatoes Salad it was horrible and dried out. I tried to call but due to being busy no one answered for theprice I played for it, It should've been fresh tasting. I enjoy going there but the prices are too high for poor service and thefood not be worth it. Read more

The food maybe good but you are going to wait an hour for it. The logistics of ordering and getting the food truly needs work.... If it is anywhere close to an hour of closing forget about mac and cheese. And the prices more than doubled and the food caseswent smaller since opening. Can't say I would come again Read more

I've been going to this restaurant since it was called Motown soul food when it 1st opened back in 1999 on 7 Mile. They serve... great food. They keep fresh pans coming out regularly. Sometimes they may run out of an item and you may have to wait a fewminutes for the new loan to come out. Can also make your order fresh to order if requested. They only downside is the price nowbut an increase is to be expected with the current inflation. Staff is always friendly and courteous. I came in between rushesso they were replacing pans when I was taking pics but they are great. It's a reason they've been in business so long. They doit right. Read more

The Mac and cheese was horrible and so salty. My pork chop was super dry. My dressing was super dry. I was wondering why at... 3:00pm on a Sunday there was barely a line. I use to think the food was delicious. It was truly disappointing! Read more
