Been going to Big Ed's for years. Fresh pizza, made only like Ed would make it. A great 50's style atmosphere, a great place to... bring friends, family, coworkers and get a pizza hot out of oven. A great place to take a date! Read more

This is a delightful place. You can feel the history and a family coziness (wotha bit of bar atmosphere thrown in) as soon as... you walk in the door. There is parking available across the street. There are tables, but a large group would have problemsfinding a space. Word to the wise, be prepared to wait. You pick your own seat and someone will come take your order. Just likeevery other restaurant, they are struggling to find people to help wait tables. I ordered a large ham and jalapeño pizza. Itis good pizza, but by no means the best I've ever had. The crust is perfectly crispy, but the flavors are a bit bland in myopinion. Read more

We ordered veggie and chicken bbq pizza. The taste was good and it had good amount of toppings. The server was little distracted... and did not refill water and drinks but she might be having a off day. Overall really nice ambiance and pizza Read more

Back in the 80's, I served overseas in the military with a guy from Oak Ridge and I admired his t shirt from Big Ed's. He told... me about how amazing the pizza was, but my being from The Bronx, I doubted his taste. 34 years later, only a few days ago, I waspassing through Oak Ridge for the first time in my life and decided I had to see for myself. Big Ed's pizza is the best I've hadoutside of New York, and ranks amongst the best I've ever had! Great service by Deirdre , great atmosphere, and an amazing pieat a reasonable price. One could not ask for more. As a jaded New Yorker, I was left stunned. Kudos! Read more

I tried big Ed?s pizza for the first time today. I ordered a small three topping pizza with pepperoni, sausage, and bacon. It... cost just over $14 and I am truly disappointed. The bottom was well overcooked and the sausage and bacon were barely there. Iwill only return to the joint if I am compensated for my loss. I would like to give them another chance after reading thepositive reviews. I did place my order Togo and was not aware of the inferior product until I returned home. I surely would havesent the order back if I were dining in. Since I live 35 minutes away I decided not to return to voice my concerns. Pictures areattached. Read more

This place was recommended by a local man we were renting a cabin from. He told us about it and that he had been eating there 30... years, so we had to try it out. We were both glad we took the 20 min ride over from Oliver Springs, it was a nice ride anddidn't take long, plus we got to see another small mountain town. We rolled up at 8:30pm and they closed at 9:00 but stillseated us (we offered to order takeout), the place was packed. We waited about 5 minutes for them to clear a booth out. The menuconsists of pizza types and toppings and a craft beer menu with local beers on it. There were no salads or bread sticks, justpizza. Pizza is all you need here, its the star of the show and should be, because it was great. Sauce was a great flavor alongwith the cheese. I would say the thickness of the pizza was between a hand tossed and thin crust pizza. It was just the rightamount of thickness, to where you could eat the crust, when its not your normal thing to eat. The bottom of the pizza had a verynice crispness to it but you still got some chew from the dough. My friend and I both really enjoyed the pizza, enough so we ateit for two more days and kept talking about it. If your in the area, stop by and eat their pizza, you won't regret it. Read more
