Classic Italian restaurant with a wonderful diverse menu. Very relaxing intimate atmosphere. The hostess and wake staff were... very attentive. My hardest challenge was deciding which one of my favorites to order. I am looking forward to coming back toChicago and trying more of the items they offered I would highly recommend this restaurant. Positano is business casual but upscale Italian that is delicious! We were a little early for our reservation so we got a drink... at the bar. Being early got us a high top rather than being seated at a table. Ended up being fine since the restaurant is loud.Only draw back was the table was small and it got a bit crowded. The grilled calamari and baratta with prosciutto weredelicious! My friend had the chicken Milanese which was a little dry but the polenta was yum! My linguini vologne was a bit muchon the garlic but I enjoyed it. The tiramisu martini I had for dessert was just what I needed. The staff from host, tobartender, to waitress were top notch! Positano Ristorante is a premier spot for Italian dining in the Oak Brook area, and stands out amidst a crowd of restaurants in... the area. Upon arriving I was greeted to a warm, lively atmosphere as well as friendly service. My party had a risotto andgrilled calamari appetizer, and not only did they come in large portions, but they were also very delicious. My dinner, thepollo parmigiana, was also delicious, and I was stuffed after all the food. But I did end up having dessert, and their tiramisuis also very good. But what struck me the most is the price point for the food. One gets very good food for a lower price thanone would expect. Overall, Positano Ristorante is a polished, go-to spot for Italian fare in the Oak Brook area, and I willdefinitely be back in the future. Read more
Family and friends went to Positano Ristorante last night for the first time…but it will not be the last!!! Everything we ate... was amazingly delicious. The staff was incredible from the minute we walked in until we left. Big thanks to Bill Burris andthe whole staff for a great evening out and food that will make us come back again and again. Very attentive wait staff, sat at the bar. They were busy but we didn't wait. Bartender made decent suggestions. I had the vodka... sauce pasta and it was good. We have a favorite Italian place near our house, and the food is so good there, just can't givethem 5 stars because I know it's out there - but you won't have a bad experience here! Read more
Our 1st anniversary experience. From the time you walk in you're greeted by amazing people. We hand an early reservation so we... did not have to wait to be seated. When seated, we did not have to wait long for our server to come over, he had greatrecommendations which was helpful since it was our 1st time. The food, simply put "you will not be disappointed" everything wegot was as my husband say "WOW" delicious. Made to perfection. We will definitely be coming back. My first time experience here was pretty good. Our server Edwin treated us very well. I ordered the shrimp scampi and calamari... and they both tasted good. My boyfriend loved his Penne alla vodka and risotto appetizer. Read more
