Had 2 different options. The Black and Blye burger and the Fall Salad. Salad stoke the show with the apple cider vinaigrette. ... The Bacon Onion Jam was a little too much though but did pair well with the blue cheese. Omg! I ordered the Blue Boy Burger with the blue cheese and onion bacon jam and it was amazingly delicious! I asked for the... onion bacon jam on the side as I normally don't like anything sweet, but when I tasted this jam, I was in heaven. Sweet like areally great BBQ sauce but with bacon, it was perfect on this burger. The burger was perfectly cooked, medium rare how I like itand just enough Bleu cheese to cover the burger. Absolutely will return to this diner again for this burger. The staff wasgreat, attentive and informative. Nice dining experience. Read more
Odered a turkey club. Points for using real roasted turkey however the sandwich was very dry, not even sure there was any mayo... on it at all. It came with coleslaw which was delicious, crisp, fresh with a nice tang. I also ordered a side of potato saladwhich was abysmal. The potatoes were so overcooked it was like eating a bowl of mashed potatoes drenched in mayo (unlike thesandwich). I found it nauseating and just pushed it aside. The waitress didn't seem to notice or maybe she just didn't care.Service was otherwise efficient if not robotic. A so-so experience. Read more
The blue swan diner is my favorite place for breakfast when I am in NJ. I often stay at the Sheraton and use the Blue Swan Diner... for breakfast. Their menu is extensive nothing is too much trouble, the staff are always friendly helpful and polite. It?s yourtypical American diner! Reasonably priced too! I would recommend to anyone. Read more
I ordered a rare steak. It came out well done. Then the waitress never came back after she delivered the food. To tell her... it wasn't rare. I ate some. But. I will never order steak there again. Read more
Good food, and good service, but inflexible kitchen staff that is unwilling to have considerations for people with dietary... restrictions and are dismissive of customers needs. Refused to make basic changes to a dish that would not have required anyadditional time or prep work and claimed that it was because they were busy, when they clearly were not. Read more
Usually the food is good, well that is depending on your server not the cook. Even though this was a "to go" order, I know... this one waitress she has something against me. Everytime she's there, my food seems a bit on the old side. Case in point, thesalad that came with my meal says it all. We went on Thanksgiving day about 330. The place was completely empty. We were sat. The waiter was a new waiter, and he didn?t... know anything about the food that your restaurant served. He disappeared, and when I was looking at him, he was on his phone.The food was disgusting. There is another couple that they sat right across from us at the restaurant. They were completelyunhappy with the waiter and the food. For customers that came every week and know the diner and the owner well. It has reallychanged extremely for the worst. Read more
