False advertising and cold food. Total disappointment. If you are allergic to gluten - stay AWAY! Their "gluten free" options... have high amounts of gluten, I've never had a worse stomach ache from eating out. And if that wasn't enough, my noodle soup camewith hot broth and cold tofu and vegetables. The quality just wasn't there. I could have made a better noodle soup at home,easily. Delicious, freshly-cooked food. We ate inside for lunch. There are a few tables and they are widely spaced apart. We had the... Black Tonkotsu Ramen and the pork belly with rice (I forgot the name). Dozo Ramen Location: 3415 Grand Ave, Oakland, CA 94610 This intimate and cozy restaurant is locate in Grand Lake area, a few... blocks away from LakeMerritt. It seats about 30, with small tables and wooden chairs for seats and has an extensive menu forRamen items. The service is quite good, with about 3 servers who are polite and efficient with cleaning up the empty plates somore can come. This place is so good, that I've been there a couple times in under a month. Each time we go, we always orderthe different assortments of meals; Ramen, Bento box, Rice bowl, Yaki Soba. Each dish is seasoned with it's own spices andherbs which come out smelling savory and appetizing, unlike other places that use the same seasoning for all dishes. The MisoRamen are one of my favourites. The Miso is seasoned with a spicy seasoning and done just right. One of my new favoritesappetizer (how to forget?!) is the Takoyaki, crispy and right temperature. For last, the dessert enjoyed the most is WarabiMochi Matcha with vanilla ice cream and matcha jelly to make it something of a dessert.
