My family and I went to Swan?s Mkt to check it out. Decided to do lunch. There were a number of choices. I chose La... Guerra?s. Ordered Guacamole & chips and the Chicken Pozole. . . The order of chips weren?t sufficient for the great portion ofguac I got. The guacamole was chunky, fresh & tasty. I moved on to the Pozzole. It was more of a stew, filled with chicken meat, hominy and veggies. Very tasty and filling. Order with the chili oil, and a great, great spicy note. The outdoor seating atSwans is very nice. We went on a Friday afternoon and there was a really full farmer?s market with a number of food choices. Allin all a fun afternoon. Read more

Excellent Mexican food in Swan Market. We ordered the empanadas, tacos, and coconut horchata. My favorite was the taco pescado,... but everything was flavorful, cooked well, and had layers of flavor throughout the meat, salsa, and slaws. Would highlyrecommend! Read more

Amazing tamales in such a cute location. A few tables set up for outdoor dining with a parking lot right next to the storefront,... making this a very accessible food stop in downtown Oakland. They were out of the mole tamales the day we went, but wethoroughly enjoyed the vegetable tamale, chicken verde tamale, and vegetable empanadas. Happy to see gluten free and vegan menuoptions! In A Nutshell: -La Guerrera's Kitchen co-located w/ the historical Aloha Club Bar is a great place to grab some Mexican... food. -They are supposedly known for their tamales, but they were sadly sold out (must be good!). -I opted for their barbacoatacos & the shrimp ceviche, which were both mouth-watering good. -It's not too often I take my time eating Mexican food, buthere I really took my time to absorb all the flavors. Overall, the place is clean w/ some seating indoors & outdoors. Read more

Tacos were super delicious! 2 will be enough for the average appetite. I got the pescado and barbacoa. The hibiscus agua fresca... was also good! Close to Fruitvale BART, takes card, has plenty of outdoor seating. Read more

These are some of the best tamales I've ever had. The masa is really tasty, my favorite is the pork with green salsa. They also... have brunch on weekends, I tried "relleno de puerco", it's a pork sandwich that packs a punch. Their patio is really nice aswell, love this place. Read more
