I love this place, I thought that I would eat there everyday, until my Latino friend moved. I went in there alone and the... service was terrible. It was as if they wanted me to leave. I left and the Asian woman behind me left, they were rude. aLatino came in and two people rushed to help her, and the Asian woman and myself just looked at each other and left. Now I knowwhy the store on Clay street in Oakland is always empty. I know that I will never go in there again, at least not in the Latinostore in Oakland, CA. Read more
The soup was okay but not great (split pea). As someone with a visual impairment, I was put off by the absence of any printed... menus. I was unable to read the detailed menu up on the wall. I did ask and was offered a catering menu, which wasn't what I waslooking for. Maybe if I'd been able to read the menu, I would have been able to make a selection I would have enjoyed more. Read more

Oakland city center location. Really good food. Pro health choice for a lunch or brunch. A soup and sandwich is my choice. But... on a cold windy day. I get a full serving of their soup. The chicken tortilla soup is awful. I can't believe I paid 7.00 for something that tastes nothing like chicken tortilla. The... San Francisco soup company was so much better. I noticed that the salads are tiny now as well. The size of the regular soupbowl is smaller n size but costs more? I won't bother going back. I would not recommend this spot. I'm not sure if they are not washing their vegetables well enough or what, but I've spent an... afternoon in in the bathroom after getting a salad from here. ?? I've had soups from here before and they are decent, servedwith a nice sourdough slice. Read more
