Melo Melo is an extremely interesting experience. This was my first experience with kava and I had an excellent partner to share... it with. The ambience at Melo Melo is definitely funky and slightly psychedelic which adds to the effect of the kava. Kava is aroot that is said to be both stimulating and relaxing. The color changing lights were really cool to sit under once that slighteuphoric feeling kicked in. The purist kava is definitely NOT tasty, but that's not the point. I also tried the Melo dream whichwas definitely way more tasty. The conversation that flowed that night came extra easy and I wished it wouldn't have ended. 1clap, BULA!!! This is a great lounge place with bar that serves kava and elixirs. It also has projected video and cool.lighting for mood and... entertainment. I have been to the berkeley melo melo a lot over rhe last several years, but this was my first time at oakland.Great place to hang if you want a social atmosphere without the alcohol. Great also for connecting to a date. Read more
Stopped by on a whim on a Saturday afternoon. Very chill vibes with good music. Tina was at the bar, gave me and some others an... intro to kava, and was very friendly. A good place to chat and also get some work done. Decent lounge seating. Read more

Kava isn?t my thing, but my sibling loves it so we come here a lot. The vibe of this place is worth it AND there are plenty of... other beverages to imbibe like this beautiful flight of kombucha, ALL of which they make in house! It?s dog friendly and fullof natural light. The living wall with its own irrigation is lush and green. Highly recommend, whatever your beverage of choicemay be. Read more

One of my favorite spots to hang in Oakland. It?s host to a very nice ambiance inside with a wall of greenery and plenty of... couches. Come here for the buy two get one happy hour before 6pm. Read more
