Very friendly folks, hardly ever get anything wrong with my orders, good portions and tasty food...if not a tad overpriced but... then...what isn't, these days...? Lol Located just down the block from the popular Oakland landmark Jack London Square, thislocation is convenient for many purposes and I don't know what time in the AM it opens but closes at 2 AM on most days, whichmakes it perfect for a night owl like myself. The neighborhood is mostly safe and clean and I don't feel especially unsafe inthis extremely well-lit area at closing time. Read more
After a really long day in Napa I had a really nice hankering for a good burger. Nation's came Highly recommended. I was staying... at a Hotel directly up the street so I thought I would try them out. Well, They did not disappoint! They cook their food freshand perfectly! I only ordered a cheeseburger, but I did request grilled onions and sliced pickles and it was delicious????. They had lots of pie choices on display and people were coming in to get them! I hear that they are really good, but I amnot a pie eater so I can't comment on that. The dining area could have been a bit cleaner, but I was getting my food to go andthe area behind the counter where they were cooking looked clean and well organized so I was good with that..lol I also heardthey had great shakes. Great burgers, especially if you’re into something more traditional! I got a cheeseburger and fries, with an iced tea and a... whole chocolate cream pie for under $30. Pretty great pricing! The burger is a fantastic example of a simple, traditionalburger with absolutely no frills; soft, milky bun that isn’t too big for the patty, or flavorful in any way that interfereswith the combo of beef, melted American cheese, a sharp slice of white onion, crisp iceberg lettuce, and juicy tomatoes with aslathering of mayo. The fries were good, but could have used a little more salt and some extra time in the fryer, as they werehot and fresh, but not crisp on the outside. Came here during lunch and it wasn't even busy. They forgot to make my food so it took about 20 min of me waiting. Got the... burger and was disappointed because the only reason why it is a Giant burger was the amount of lettuce, tomatoes and onions theyput on. Also they put so much mayonnaise on it that the flavor over powdered everything, even the bacon. Read more
