I got the 3 meat combo; brisket, chicken & pork ribs with collard greens and coleslaw. Meats were juicy and tasty, brisket could... use a little more seasoning but the smoke rings are on point. Collard green was good but quite salty while the coleslaw wasbland. Read more
We were planning to go to Horn BBQ but it didn’t open, with craving BBQ we found Smokin Wood BBQ, and so glad we found it!... First they have a full bar and the drinks were really good. We got boneless chicken thigh and brisket, and both were sooodelicious! The sides collard green was my favorite, Brussels sprouts was a bit underwhelming but also not bad. I'll give them a 5. I'm biased as it's my family but the ambiance, TVs, outdoor seating and warm service from the staff only... supported my rating. Technically these folks nailed it. The bark was tasty and thick, the smoke rings were deep and perfectly pink. All in all the... barbecue was one of the best I’ve had in the Bay Area. However, they lost it in the details. The dish was served under temp,which gave the meat a perception of dryness. The point of the brisket could have used some more trimming. The food here was amazing! It's hard to find good BBQ spots in the Bay Area and this is coming from a Bay Area native. This spot... is one of the few good ones. I thought the entire meal was excellent. My favorite dish was the pork ribs and the biscuit was sogood I ordered 4 more. The drinks are strong too here. I will be coming back. Read more
