My favorite sandwich spot in Oakland!Love this location even more then the one in West Oakland because the traffic is... slower.Staff is friendly and accommodating.Seating inside and outside.Bolton is amazing and very sweet if you get him as yourstay gold representative.Yay for stay gold closer to my hood!I miss Genova but this comes close as a equivalent. SO HAPPY this place opened up. I miss the cheese shop, but Stay Gold is fantastic. Really laid back, incredible sandwiches, a... really nice vibe inside. The BB sandwich in particular was awesome. This may be my new favorite place to grab a sandwich andwatch a game @ the Kingfish. Read more
Good, regular deli sandwiches and BBQ options. Traditional Italian combo was just right, and the warmed roll was a great touch.
I was excited to try the vegan option here, but it was not up to par. Bunch of overly spicy crumbled tofu on stale bread. It was... supposed to be a sloppy joe, but it wasn't sloppy. It's not hard to make stuff taste good by drowning it in BBQ sauce, but theykept it dry and unimpressive. On top of that, the person at the counter was very unhelpful, especially when I asked about buyingsome small sides for my 4 year old. She said, "I don't have a way to ring that up."
