Was ok I believe they warmed some if not all the food in the pineapple bowl up in a microwave. But the fried shrimp & wings were... good! Nice big shots of liquor as well! I was skeptical because they have a 3-star rating, but my family wanted to go there. I drove by a few times because I didn't see... it or know that it was inside Complex. This night they were have thr R&B Paint Night, so it was kinda packed, but not reallybecause the event was in another room. We went in to find a booth. I love how they have different games you can play while youwait, eat, or just kick it. .. games like Connect 4, Jenga, Uno, etc. They have two kiosk where you place your order. Iordered the catfish, shrimp and fries and a side of lobster Mac n' cheese. The wait, OMG ????????! I got a text that my food wasready, went to the counter and nope ???????????. The cashier said that they were behind but she'd let us know. I was starvin!Food coming out left and right but none was mine. We waited at least another 30-40 minutes before the food finally came. Thereis nothing worth the wait but the food was delicious.... well mine was. ..my cousin didn't like the garlic noodles. The garlicfries were bomb and the salmon nuggets were also good! My husband and I visited this place yesterday after seeing it on TikTok. I love the hole in the wall vibe it give and although... we were there at the top of the afternoon, I can tell that it gets live as the day goes on. Upon looking at the menu I felt itwas a little pricey BUT I see why. The portions are huge and we literally could of shared 1 meal. I still have leftovers. Thecustomer services was absolutely amazing! Isaiah was so courteous and his people skills are amazing. Osla! Girl! My husband saidthat Koolaid was beyond the best he has ever had. We enjoyed the garlic noodles with chicken and a side of chicken wings withsweet chili sauce. It is a must visit and we'll worth the cost. Highly popularized by social media culture. I'm unsure why they don't live up to their hype. The food was over cooked and the... flavor was off. Now, I know all garlic noodle aren't made equally, but theirs was sweet. And the fried Platter was over cookedand salty. I can't knock their hustle so ill try them again and update if my findings are different. Read more
This place came highly recommended. I was overly disappointed. Upon arrival, all of the open tables were sticky and full of food... particles. It took super long to get someone to clean the tables. It seemed as if there was one person taking orders and goingin the back to get the food. Very unorganized. We were finally able to order after being there for 30 minutes. There was quite afew items on the menu that wasn't available. The kool-aid was not kool-aid. It was Tampico juice. The food took 53 minutes tocome out. The presentation of the food was superb. I give them that. I ordered the catfish basket and it came out looking onpoint. It was so bland. It literally has seasoning all over it but it was all an illusion. As a matter of fact, all the food wasbland. The crab Mac and cheese came with whole crab legs, not crab meat. It was a terrible first impression. I wouldn't comeback. Read more
Service, food, vibe ? all 5 stars! It?s a little difficult to find because it?s connected to other businesses! The cashier was... super helpful to me and deciding what I wanted to eat. She help me get the best bang for my buck by selecting something thatincluded a little bit of everything. The game was on so I was able to watch my football team play while eating my food and theywere super clean with everything going on in the world. The Kool-Aid was delicious and the food was so filling. I didn?t eveneat half of it! Also, I even ran into a few celebrities while I was there! So it was a great experience. Read more
This is my first time in Oakland and I saw they had a Trap Kitchen and got excited! I?ve been to the one in Portland and love... it. I ordered the garlic noodles w/ steak and the shrimp and chicken basket. The portions were great? however, the garlicnoodles didn?t taste as buttery as the ones in Portland and the meat I had in Portland seemed to had been sliced thinner, and itwasn?t as saucy! Speaking of saucy, I am a saucy Santana baby! And you can only imagine my dismay when they only gave me packetsof ketchup and tarter sauce for my shrimp and chicken!!!
