I drive through here quite often on the way to work early in the morning. The morning crew especially the two older ladies I... mean they're not old but older are fabulous. They greet you with a smile they laugh sometimes they call you beautiful which evenif it's not true it starts your day off amazing. I appreciate this McDonald's around the corner from my home. Although the menu is the same everywhere, not all Micky D's are the same. This location did everything right. Fast service,... hot food, and the shake machine was not out of order. To top it off, the fries were just as magical today as they were in myyouth. I'm sure everyone can relate to that last statement as most McDonald's today serve fries that seem to be similar tosalted shredded cardboard. The restaurant was clean including the Mc Pottys. The playground was open and very clean withabsolutely 0% evidence of cleaning neglect (another miracle when compared to most other Mc Nasty playgrounds). My son keptcoming up to me to tell me how much he loved the playground. Hands down, this location is superior by a long distance to anylocation I have been to in the past several years. Little Girl that is in the first window. I have came to this location twice these past two Saturdays and I tell you what, You... need to be fired Ms. Lady. You talk to much when you need to be handing customers RECEIPTS! Stop catching a attitude or you canjust go home. Next time I am coming in. I just waited at the order terminal for 18 minutes. No one even had the decency to say hello I?ll be with you shortly. Finally I... just pulled up to the window assuming the speaker was broken and was told they had no staff. Shame on the management at thisMcDonald?s. Sat in the drive through the first time for 15 mins then drove around and asked if they was open and she said yes and was real... rude about it while she gave others food then the girl finally comes on the intercom and tells me there system is down nottaking anything but cash and serving only fries and drinks but just gave others ahead of me burgers. Wow. My husband and son had to walk from our semi to get a late supper. They were so amazingly accommodating. You don't meet... kind people like that anymore, let alone in the service industry. The McDonald's in Oakland is busy at almost all times of the day, but especially around breakfast, lunch, and dinner times.... Lunch being the worst. Even at less busy times it isn't unusual to sit in line for 10-15 minutes. They have two drive thrulanes, but only take orders from one at a time. Not a huge deal, but it creates more of a traffic jam than necessary honestly.When it gets frustrating is if you are in one of the lanes waiting for them to take your order and they take 5 or 6 ordersstraight from the other lane. Once you get to the window to pay, be prepared to tell them what you ordered because they losetrack of which vehicle ordered what. I will say that the orders are usually correct when you get the food, and it's usuallyfresh and hot. Even with all the issues, I go here a lot because my 4 year old loves McDonald's. I believe a lot of the issuesstem from this being an extremely busy location, the 2 drive thru lanes, and I'm sure being understaffed a good portion of thetime. Read more
