I?m a pretty big fan of the simple things in life. Good living, good wine, hearty bread, fresh baguettes and good cheese. Since... the common denominator to all of the above is France and since France is a plane trip and 7 hours away, I decided to go toRendez-Vous instead. It's a cute little place, perfect to catch up with the guys or take your girl on an intimatedate. Ordered the Cabernet in the picture, to begin with. That damn bottle complemented the bread, the appetizer, the soup, themain course and the dessert all at once effortlessly. Full bodied, not too dry or sweet, honest to goodness Cab. 10/10. TheFrench onion soup was very hearty and cheesy. Extremely satisfying. Oh, along with the complimentary bread basket. I wouldn?tsay the bread was the freshest but I can?t really complain. The Assiette Campagnarde was very good. The Country Pâté had anice livery taste which I like and the Brie which is my favorite cheese ever sealed the deal. Ordered the Beef Bourguignon forthe mains. It was hearty, seasoned well and the potato gratin was absolutely delicious. The chocolate dessert wasfabulous. Now, I really regret that I didn?t get the name of the lady who waited on us tonight - 2/19/22 (the nice blonde girl)but she is a superstar. She was always smiling, presented everything well, her service was attentive and quick and it was on thewhole a job very well done. Such a refreshing rarity which I?m sure other South Floridians would agree with me given that wegenerally have mediocre service all around. I thoroughly enjoyed her patient professionalism and the pace of presentation andwas more than happy to tip her well. Upon which she returned to clarify if I had tipped her the said amount by mistake.. I hadto assure her I didn't and that I enjoyed the experience. We normally have a great experience at this place. But this morning we were told it was a 20 minute wait and ended up being 45... minutes. Then we sat at the table for 15 minutes waiting for somebody come take our order. This place is extremely understaffed.Luckily the kitchen is in great sorts and the food came in less than 20 minutes. Had a delicious dinner here with great service on the adorable patio. The dishes were surprisingly light (in a good way!) with... generous portions. The French onion soup, boeuf bourguignon, and ham crepe were all excellent. Highly recommend trying some oftheir fresh pastries as well. If you?re looking for outdoor seating, they have a spacious and low key patio with plenty ofseating. There?s also a nicely decorated inside space if you?d prefer indoor dining. First time coming here, good experience. Good food bacon was perfectly cooked, pancakes were nice and soft. I got the special... Rendezvous croissant egg sandwich it was excellent I recommend it. Coffee was also great, not watery flavor or to strong it justperfect. Entrance to the parking was a bit tricky though as I had to go to the light turn right and then right again on thestreet to get to it. Atmosphere was nice though maybe a but noisy with a lot of people talking at the same time, not anintimate atmosphere, yet a nice place to come in for sure. For me there will be more visits to come since I enjoyed thebreakfast a lot. Read more
