With a new addition, added to a home town bar feel, this restaurant/tavern is a gem in the SJ area. You can tell the owner has a... great rapport with their food vendors. The meats are choice and well made, as is the seafood. The addition has a modern, sportsbar feel. And the original building it is attached to, still kept it's hometown watering hole ambiance. Friday night 10pm Nice crowd, great music...loved the atmosphere. Lighting was perfect! Not too dark. Plenty of room to... manuever. Malibu baybreeze, crab stuffed mushrooms, cheese fries =maneuver. ETA: If you leave a poor review, don't bother calling when management replies to your review. A woman claiming to be the owner... was very nasty and rude. Her only issue was that I mentioned our server by name, and said server happens to be her daughter. Outof respect for the server, I am editing out her name. But she happily told me that she speaks like that to every person wholeaves a low review. When told I was recording, the owner said "go ahead, I'll keep going". The owner's daughter was our serverand I don't know why I'm even writing a review because management seems to not care. (Update: Yeah, they don't care and are verynasty.) I got the wrong salmon dish despite reading off the one I wanted. My uncle's meal was undercooked. My mother in law'swas overcooked, my daughter got 17 wings instead of 20. I had to go to the bar to get refills (that we were never told weren'tfree) because the owner's daughter hardly ever came by despite it not being busy, but boy oh boy she sure was quick to come overif she saw me talking to her manager. Beyond that, she didn't even let me speak to the manager without jumping in. I'm alwayswilling to put up with a lot, I'm a server myself and if the owner's daughter had been even a little more attentive she wouldhave easily gotten a $60 tip. Instead, we will never go there again. I'd just come off an eight hour shift that was very busy,and wanted a relaxing dinner. Instead it was two hours of irritation, abysmal service, and honestly no redeeming qualities aboutour server. Owner's daughter, if you read this, give as much attention to your tables as you do to whether someone iscomplaining about you to the manager and you'll: 1. Have no reason to worry about someone having a valid complaint. 2. Turnyour tables over faster, meaning more money for you. Excellent food and tap list with local beer. Fresh seafood with a rotating menu- I highly recommend the crab bisque. Service is... adequate- can't complain at all. Reminds me of PJs, but better in every way. TVs everywhere and a large central bar. I wishthere was more diversity in the patrons, but I'm not sure the restaurant can impact that. Read more

My first time here and definitely will not be the last. The lunch specials are incredible. Many choices and prices you wouldn't... believe if I told you. McDonald's is more expensive but not a tenth as good or as healthy. My Chilli burger lunch special wasmore flavorful than I could describe. The flounder and lump crab rivals restaurants you only go to on special occasions. Thebacon wrapped scallops cooked to perfection. Some of the best I've had. Amazing risotto. The portions? If you leave hungry theremay actually be something wrong with you. Great beer list so you have plenty to pair with your food. Also dividers betweentables to provide a safe barrier for your dining experience. Current renovations are expanding the restaurant and I can't waitto see the final result. Excellent menu options from fresh seafood options to pub fare at affordable prices. Food portions are on the larger side while... prices are very affordable and service is quick and friendly.
