Just finished dinner and we enjoyed everything tonight. Our servers name was David and he was the best server we?ve had in a... long time - I hope you get to see this. We ordered almost every appetizer and they were all delicious. Our table had mostly ribsand steak and they were all as we ordered. I only got two pictures because I didn?t think to write a review until aftereveryone started eating - these loaded mashed potatoes on a skillet were awesome! Food and service = 5 stars! Visited this place to celebrate my birthday. The staff was super helpful, the stakes were done right, the apps were cooked well.... The highlight was the $5.00 cocktails. Overall- Must try: New York Striploin, Garlic Bread, Fries, Crispy Shrimp appetizer, andthe vegetarian Gnocchi, Garlic mash potatoes. Price- On the steep side, but the taste makes up for it. Reception was good. Waiter was friendly. Ambiance was classic Bâton Rouge. Calamari was bland. No salt and missing seasonings.... Drinks arrived after the appetizers. Waiter brought it and it was spilling everywhere. He presented it as it?s normal. I thoughthe would come back with napkins but no!! I?m there to have fun and I didn?t want to make a scene so I used the drink napkin thathe brought to used as a coaster for our water. it?s not what you except from Bâton Rouge. Steak was good and cooked to ourliking. Veggies were half cooked and very salty. Toward the end we felt rushed even the host came collected the empty plate andthe water. I invited my boyfriend to have dinner with me and he was the one who choose this place. I must admit that I was very impressed... with the quality of meals, service and nice interior. We were sitted by the window and this lovely waitress come right to ourtable. With beautiful smile she recommended delicious appetizers and they arrived elegantly served and prepared. Excellent food and service. Really enjoyed the back ribs. They smoke it for about 6 hours and then bake it with their amazing... BBQ sauce-blend. The sirloin steak was perfect. Good portion sizes. Customer service was good. We ordered crispy shrimp appetizer it was amazing but I would say it was a small portion compared to... the price It was only 4 shrimps for $18. I wouldn?t order the lamb shank again it was so tender which is good but the flavorcould have been a lot better. The chicken was amazing and the burger was good. The beef gnocchi was so bad it tasted weird, ourfriend order a steak with shrimps and mushrooms it look pretty good and he enjoyed.
