My daughter and her friends went here for her birthday dinner tonight. The host showed them to a booth that hadn’t been... cleaned yet and proceeded to attempt cleaning it as they sat. They waited an hour between their salad and main course and onegirls dinner was whipped away from her before she was even finished. I don’t know much about authenticity of Italian food however I can certainly say that East Side Mario has given me great... flavours of Italian cuisine. I have been here numerous times now and will be going more often. Tried few items here andbruschetta and the complementary bread are my personal favourite. In peak COVID times as well, on a stat holiday irrespective ofshort staff, the owner of this place has always been approachable, kind and friendly. They got all you can eat options also theydo provide free top up of the fresh free bread and butter that they provide to begin with. East side Mario in this plaza hascineplex behind it and lots and lots of things to do around. The vibe of this place is just amazing. In my recent visit, I likedcontents of one of the cocktail but as I am non alcoholic, as per my request they made the drink without any booze (they did ahalf price for me). Horrible costumer service. Will never come here again. I realized that they overcharged us by $10 on this bill even though many... things went wrong. But that’s not the main reason why I’m writing this bad review. We came last about 4 months ago and itwas ok.I bought 2 kids meals. $2 for each kids meal on Tuesdays and $2 each chiller. They got a build your own pasta which mykids said was ok as it was too small for their liking, but we enjoyed our time there for the value. We came back for anotherexperience, and this time with my niece, nephew, and my two kids just an hour ago. Like the last time, the kids ordered from theKids menu which we confirmed was $2 for each meal on Tuesdays. They also got chillers as an extra. Apparently the unicornchillers were not included in the deal this time so I lived with it. After we already placed an order (which I budgeted for inadvance), the manager comes around to tell me that there is only one 2$ Kids meal for each adult meal and that a previouswaitress was FIRED for not doing that previous times. And in my mind I was like WHAT! You tell me this after I placed the orderand added an appetizer and the kids all ordered chicken extra which amounted to more than half of the price of their whole meal!The manager has horrible customer service skills, did not offer anything, and no apology. He is the one who should be fired. Iwill never ever come back and I told him that. I asked for the bill and I see how much I spent for 5 meals and realize that Icould have gone out with the kids for some real Italian food for that price. Then looking at the bill and I see that theyovercharged me and wanted to go back and tell them but was too tired to argue with that awful manager again. Will NEVER comehere again. Solid location. Really clean and the service was fast. We did go after the dinner rush which probably helped. It’s been a... while since I’ve gone to east side and the home loaf and salad was just as good as I remembered! The pasta we got was goodtoo. Will definitely be back! Read more

This location is a hit or miss for us. I work two buildings down in the plaza so it is convenient before work but today's... experience was not welcoming. There were a table of staff by the washroom laughing and chatting, only two waitresses. I had toorder gluten free and it just tasted really bland. The bread was hard and only good thing was soup. My husband's pizza crust wasvery doughy and didn't look properly cooked. The manager was in the back yelling at the kitchen staff Very unprofessional Iwon't come back here again Hazel was our server.
