Don't live far so though take out would be fine. Got home and fries were fine (expected to be cold...that's take out) but... surprisingly the bun was cold (not room temp but cold) and all the toppings and condiments were cold and the beef didn't retainany heat whatsoever. I was confused because it was under 10 minutes in the bag and when I got to the sandwich it was cold. Likeeverything was cold. I know they Cooke's it fresh because I waited and only 1 other order was made and I said I would wait for afresh patty to be cooked. Anyway it was awkward to order and receive, the bathroom was disgusting (used itwhile I happilywaited), and because it is this tiny window where a solo cashier appears and disappears instantly, the service was not what Iwould consider even a blip on a radar. Ordered 2 crunchy fried chicken sandwiches. In the picture and also the image it says and looks like it comes with tomatoes ,... lettuce, mayo and chicken. Any reasonable person would come to that conclusion. I got 2 chicken sandwich?s , and I can?t makethis up , one had chicken , about 20 jalapeños and about 3 tablespoons of mayo. I went and picked up 2 burgers / poutine and fries today. Got the double patty burgers which was delicious but I found it a bit... oily. The buns were really fresh and had a nice sprinkle of black seeds which was delicious. The poutine was delicious but Ifound the gravy a bit on the salty side. None of the staff use gloves while preparing food!! How disgusting is that!!! I walked in for a late dinner and ordered. I was... shocked to see the staff is handling my food with his bare hands without any gloves!!!! Please don't tell me he washed his handsbecause I don't buy that! As a customer, I want to see the one preparing my food wearing gloves. I should have learned my lesson the last 2 times I ate at a Hero. What they call a smashburger is just a super thin and super... small patty that is obviously pre-frozen and filled with whatever additives make it taste like tofu. There is no caramelizationand there's nothing smashed about it. It's overpriced as usual and quite flavorless. I wish that I could have something good tosay about hero, because it is directly across the street from where I live, but the 10-minute drive to any number of otheractual smashburger places as well worth it.
