Amazing food and excellent service! Celebrated our anniversary at J.A.C.?s Bistro tonight and were totally impressed! From the... first phone call to paying the bill, the service was fantastic! Sybila took our reservation with an exuberant and friendlyvoice, and Christie, our server, was so friendly and attentive with a great sense of humour. ???? The food was exceptional -compliments to the chefs!! We ordered appetizers to share - grilled calamari and Caesar salad (salad served on two separateplates - so thoughtful), gnocchi, and a steak entree. Everything was prepared and cooked to perfection and served steaminghot. The lemon meringue cheesecake was delicious, light, and refreshing. ???? All of the food was plated with care and a flarefor design that elevated the presentation to the next level! ???? An interesting coincidence was that two other couples near uswere celebrating their 37th and 48th wedding anniversaries! So, that shows that J.A.C?s is a destination for celebrations! We went there for a Christmas dinner with a group of 6. The server was knowledgeable, attentive and with good sense of humour.... Our drinks were served quickly, but we had to wait a good while for the food to arrive. However it was all worthwhile. The foodwas delicious and beautifully presented. The portions were perfect. We all shared amazing salted caramel cheesecake for dessert.The server had no problem giving us separate bills. The restaurant has great ambiance and made a long drive from the city worthit. I've had the pleasure of dining here twice and I feel confident saying this is one of the premier resteraunts in Oakville. The... first time I had the best steak of my life, and tonight I had amazing salmon. A clean and welcoming interior filled with nicelooking decore and clean tables. Constantly rolling specials that keep you wanting to return, and quick service even though itis always packed. Jac's is turning into the de facto special occasion reateraunt for evenings out. Wow, as restaurants fight to get clients back, I had this happen to me and thought it was an excellent idea to point out how... some businesses don't get it. I wanted to book Jac's Bistro I went to their website.I can order delivery, order pick up, andbook catering, but I can't reserve online. Wow, how 2018's How very old school. So I called to leave a message to reserve atable, no reply; call the next day, no reply. So I called last night and asked the lady who answered whether she got my request.She said yes, she had called me back, and I remarked that I did not see a voice mail her answer was, "we have a lot ofreservations; we have to call, and if you don't answer, we don't leave a message." Wow, so if you want to book at@Jac's Bistro,don't take any meetings or answer any calls till they decide to call you. It would be funny if it were not such a tragic case ofsubpar customer service.
