I used to absolutely love Monastery Bakery. It's still good, but just not as good as it used to be. Sunday morning, I usually go to the Monastery Bakery to buy bagels for my lunch. It was crowded with many people already there... and there were many people waiting in long lines at the checkout counter. I missed free coffee. Previously, they offered freecoffee to their purchasers, but now they have stopped since Covid-19 pandemic. Read more

As long as you know what to pick it?s great, it?s a shame the coffee bar has changed, being able to self serve in the mornings... was great whereas now you have to get an espresso based coffee. It?s also sad to see the Nutella cookies were gone. But if youever go you?ll understand why it is so busy, pretty much everything is delicious. Read more

Great store.....have in house bakery hot oven table fruit and veggie produce and espresso cafe. Only downfall is very busy so... parking can be limited - I'm sure you go early if you want pastries or baked goods on a holiday or long weekend. Good idea toorder in advance Read more

This place is absolutely unreal, A little place of heaven, at least for people like us, that love food and people that... understand what it is to make homemade food. I had the great opportunity to actually meet the owner, amazing guy and such ahumble guy & all the staff, are lovely and kind. I wish you nothing but success. The BEST bakery in all the GTA! Absolutely delicious, fresh, and reasonably priced! They have an excellent variety of imported... European goods - dry foods, cheeses, deli and meats. Their baked goods a d pastries are amazing and very reasonably priced.They have an awesome hot table with delicious Italian and Canadian dishes. Lots of good food here. The bakery is great. The macarons, cookies, donuts and bread were all fantastic. The prices are pretty... average. I expected it to be expensive. It was very busy during lunch time, but they had every checkout open and lots of help atall the counters. I'll be back for sure. Read more
