Oakwood, Oklahoma is nothing but a dot on the map. If you're driving through on the highway you may miss it. There's still... people who live there but other than the skating rink in the old school gym, there's not much else there. Well now there is!!Mandy Sherwood and her family has turned the old Hilltop Tavern into the all new Hilltop Cafe! It looks about the same outsideBUT inside she has done a complete make-over. We came by to check out the new place and find out what all the fuss was about. The cafe has a down home country flair to it with horseshoes on the wall, a saddle in the corner and cattle brands on thedoorway. It's venue is small and cozy. We came in at a good time as it wasn't real busy but steady with people calling in ordersand ordering from Facebook. Mandy, an excellent cook by the way, carried out all her duties with ease and even came out to visitus. Cheyenne was our waitress and got our order down perfectly. She checked on us, kept our drinks full and did it all with asmile. If you're ever in this area and want a good meal, this is THE PLACE to go!! There's highchairs for the youngin's and giftcertificates available. Big trucks can park across the road too!! Read more
