This was a very disappointing meal in comparison to past experiences with the chain. The fish, fries and hush puppies tasted... like they had been sitting in the oil, waiting to be ordered. Our server only returned to drop off the check. My plate wascovered by oil, literally. When I asked the server for the manager, she never called for one. Thank you to our lovely waitress and the Cracker Barrell solving our Mothers day dinner with no wait time and an excellent... dinner last night!! I am so pleased we chose the cracker barrell in Ocala finally after the terrible experience from beingexcluded after a 3 hour wait at bonefish to get no waitress after 25 min more.. I can only say the service was amazing the foodwas lovely and as always the store offers a variety of perfect gifts that only the Cracker Barrell can advertise with just theright amount of pizazz! The place was beautifully decorated! Christmas trees, ornaments and gift ideas were strategically placed! If you had someone... that was hard to buy for, just take a walk through Cracker Barrel. The food, unfortunately, was not as good as I have had atother Cracker Barrels. We stopped for breakfast and my grits were runny and not hot enough to melt butter.
