The place was beautifully decorated! Christmas trees, ornaments and gift ideas were strategically placed! If you had someone... that was hard to buy for, just take a walk through Cracker Barrel. The food, unfortunately, was not as good as I have had atother Cracker Barrels. We stopped for breakfast and my grits were runny and not hot enough to melt butter. This was a very disappointing meal in comparison to past experiences with the chain. The fish, fries and hush puppies tasted... like they had been sitting in the oil, waiting to be ordered. Our server only returned to drop off the check. My plate wascovered by oil, literally. When I asked the server for the manager, she never called for one. Thank you to our lovely waitress and the Cracker Barrell solving our Mothers day dinner with no wait time and an excellent... dinner last night!! I am so pleased we chose the cracker barrell in Ocala finally after the terrible experience from beingexcluded after a 3 hour wait at bonefish to get no waitress after 25 min more.. I can only say the service was amazing the foodwas lovely and as always the store offers a variety of perfect gifts that only the Cracker Barrell can advertise with just theright amount of pizazz! Horrible!!! Our server was so rude and curt I didn?t want to ask for anything? She snapped at me with regards to a mimosa as I... asked for cranberry instead of OJ When my breakfast arrived I mentioned that I had expected the shredded hash browns like everyother CB I?ve eaten at The response I got was Well this is all we have right now and then she walked away I was in shock, itdoesn?t matter what you put on cardboard to make it taste better; it will still taste like cardboard? These potatoes ruined theentire meal right behind the couldn?t be bothered server At the very least could?ve offered French fries? I know they had holiday crowds and guess understaffed due to workforce changes. And while we enjoyed the gift shop and the... food... we didn't enjoy our waitress. It's Sunday 6pm, I was with my husband and 2 teens. To order a mimosa I had to show id...my husband had his, he was driving, and I had to go to the car for my ID. Well because of this 20 mins passed before our foodorder was taken. It was delivered & waitress was gone 30 minutes. At this point usually they ask about dessert. Nope we got acheck. She then hussled off and despite us wanting another drink & desert... she was no where to be found again. I don't blameher, I blame management. But it didn't help we felt the lack of service at the table. I cannot complain the food was consistentwith their standards... it just didn't set well with me it was all our waitress could do to order & serve for us... let alonelook somewhat happy to be serving our table. Got the grandmas sampler added a side of grits... Food was excellent ordered mine to go curbside pickup.. took a while for the... phone to get answered besides that . I had a great experience . Ill def be going back. Read more
