Arrived about quarter of 6pm, 8/4/22. No wait to be seated. Wait staff were professional and pleasant. We ordered a pitcher of... their virgin strawberry daiquiri. Really yummy! We started with a dozen oysters on the half shell which had side dipping optionsof cocktail sauce, lemons, and horseradish. They were perfect! My daughter enjoyed the mozzarella cheese sticks for her dinner.We both ordered the Alaskan snow crab leg special. It comes with two sides of which I ordered the salad and baked potato. Crablegs were sweet and succulent! You have to work for the meat when you get to the tinier parts of the legs, but SO worth it. Thisis my third time at this Higgins Crab House and I haven’t been disappointed yet. Definitely recommend! Read more
We are very happy we ended our wonderful OCMD trip with a feast at Higgins. We had a lot of seafood all week with other... wonderful restaurants. Higgins just hit all the marks for what we are looking for. Casual and kid friendly. Flavorful dishes.Attentive staff with the manager checking on us. The clam strips app is a great way to start out before getting into the steamdishes. With all the food in the steam pot I couldn’t get to my own crab legs till later and it’s still fresh enough to snapoff using just my fingers. That’s a great indication of how good the crab legs were and they came in pretty good portionunlike another place we went to. This is your classic crab joint turned corporate. Food is consistent and so is the service. Anyone coming here expecting it to... be clean, you are misguided. Crab joints are just dirty. I've done over 200 reviews for Google and been to several AYCE seafood places around the U.S. with my wife and Higgins is in my... top 5! Alex, our wonderful waitress made sure we never needed for anything the entire time and was very polite and courteous! Wewent with all you can eat ???? crabs, ???? shrimp, and ribs along with chicken, fries,coleslaw, and hush puppies (included withmeal) and everything was fantastic! No rushing from the staff and you will definitely leave happy and full! If your on the fenceabout this place, please jump over and dig in! Read more
GREAT Seafood, Excellent for families & Groups The food here is fresh and delicious. Our party included a toddler and a teen and... they were satisfied with their dinner so that's a win win. We ordered the seafood platter sampler which includes a variety ofseafood options and it was large enough for 3 adults to sample. The first night, July 4th we had excellent service, were seatedright away and our server was fantastic! We returned the second night and the service was okay which is why am providing a 4star review. Additionally, there were bugs at the table and we had to move--not good. The crab cake has too much filler so Iwill not recommend it. The space is large and you can socially distance. There is a place for kids to play, the only thing Iwould caution parents with toddlers is to be on the lookout for middle school age kids that go on the playground and rough playwithout anyone watching. I wished they would only allow 7 and under to play as older kids don't make it safe for toddlers.Overall, its a bit pricey. Read more
Save your money and don’t come here! Food is not good. Waitress forgot to put in our app but I’m glad she did because the... entrees weren’t very good. Crab cakes you can make better at home. And fish and chips was hard as a rock and burnt that only1/4 was edible. Couldn’t cut it with a fork or knife I had to use MUSCLE to try to even cut into it. Tasted like it wassitting under a heat lamp and thrown back into the fryer to heat up but ending up burning it. Andddd the place was swarming withflies so if I wasn’t fanning our food ever 15 seconds flies would be landing on it. Very disappointing. Read more
Food was horrible I ordered a ny strip and lobster tail. The lobster tail was cold you cauld tell it was cooked at least 40 mins... prior as it was also rubbery. My sister in-laws lobster wasn’t cleaned as it still had the lobster feces in it. The steakwasnt seasoned although they did cook it correctly (that’s why they get 1star) the service was horrible we had no forks orknives and when given utensils I had to cut a steak with a butter knife (extremely hard to do) we had asked the waitress if shecan take a photo of our group who then walked away and paid us no attention even after being asked a 2nd time.
