Was a nice visit. The atmosphere was actually pretty chill even with the televisions showing multiple sporting events. Food... was good. They served bread while we waited for the meal. I ordered a crab cake sandwich that was very good. Lump crab meat andwell seasoned with fries on the side. The waitress was good though we struggled to communicate a bit at first and we ended upwith only one crab cake meal for both of us. We got it straightened out though and all was well. I would recommend a visit whenin the OC. Read more

I sat outside because it's a beautiful evening. The bartender at the outside bar( jimmy) was courteous and very friendly. While... I was looking over the menu and deciding what I was going to drink he offered me bread. The bread was a huge chunk drizzled witholive oil,pepper,and I think some parmesan cheese. It was very soft and fluffy. I asked him what salad he would choose and hesaid if I was really hungry to eat the strawberry salad but I picked rosted beets,goat cheese and arugula. It was fantastic!Then I got seared scallops and a mixed vegetable medley because I could really make up my mind what I wanted. They were searedto perfection! And the vegetable mix was so fresh, it was like it came straight from my own garden. I highly recommend cominghere to eat! Read more
We loved our experience and our server Claire was delightful! Crispy shrimp tacos to start, strawberry salad and crab cake... sandwich for the main. Everything was fresh and delicious. Server really talked up the key lime pie and it definitely didn'tdisappoint. We are coming back in two weeks with family and plan on bringing them to Hooked! Read more
8-6-22: We had to come back for our last meal of our trip. This is the only place we came to twice and again, it did not... disappoint. Hooked is a welcomed change to all the noise of the other restaurants. You can taste the love and care and pride intheir food. Jose was our server and he was great. Tonight we had bits of things from the app menu. But the single best item fromany place on our entire trip was those greens. Come here for them, but also get their crab and jalapeño chowder. They are twocompletely unique items that are destination worthy and you cant get them anywhere else. The only thing i wish they had was adipping sauce along side the wings. So, i tried some of the chowder broth and mixed in some blue cheese and dipped the celeryin. Wow. It actually works! Probably the most unique ocean city inspired blue cheese dipping sauce ever. LOL. I hope you allwork on it and make it something great. Try it. 8-1-22: Love this place. We have been here several times and the food and staffare consistently good. Today we had fried oyster appetizer with a mustard gain and horseradish sauce. Entrees were bay scallopsasparagus served on pulled pork and grits. It was too interesting to pass up but it was not as interesting tasting as the ideasuggested. Now, the pan fried chicken with grits and a smokey sweet bacon & collard greens was a whole other thing. Went for dinner with a few friends. Great cocktail offerings. Dinner plates aren't exactly cheap but the food was top notch. I... got the soft crab daily special and both crabs were perfectly fried and very meaty. I'd be happy to go back again. Read more
Easy going, relaxed atmosphere, Great tasting food, and kind service. 4 stars only because I wish there were a little bit more... menu options. We had the wings, calamari, and bisque to start - all awesome. Scallops and shrimp and grits as entrees, alsogreat. And finished with a French toast bread pudding! Definitely recommend stopping by!
