I don't typically order rolls but they had some I wanted to try. Unfortunately, I don't remember all the names, but we had a CA... roll, one with the large shrimp Tempura topped with Unagi (the best one with flavors that completely complement each other), MDlump crab with asparagus (probably my least favorite without much flavor and also questioned if it was really MD lump), salmonroll, and nigiri tuna, rockfish, and Unagi. As an app we ordered the veggie tempura. Nice size serving with different veggiesyou typically don't see, ie asparagus and eggplant. Looked oily but was actually perfectly fried. Not a ton of sushi in OCMD. So this is obviously a likely choice for sushi when at the beach. But don?t sleep on this spot, they... take serious care to do solid food. And not just sushi either. We had an absolutely lovely experience! The owner came out, had a chat and even topped up our drinks. The food was so amazing... fresh, and portion sizes leave you wanting for nothing. Would recommend saving room for dessert. Finally, in our opinion,value for money was high. You expect to pay more for sushi but at OC Wasabi, you really do get fantastic food and good servicefor a price that you won't feel badly about when the bill comes. Do me a favor?get the Maryland fried rice. It comes with shrimp, crab meat and old bay?best fried rice ever! Cozy little spot, I... checked beforehand and the website didn?t mention reservations but when we arrived they asked if we had one (then we had to waitabout 90 minutes for a table). That?s the only even remotely negative thing I could say. Food was great, hubby had Saki (warm)and he enjoyed. It?s a bit pricy, family of 5 our tab was $200+ but we?ll definitely be back next time we?re in OC. Read more
After looking for a good Asian food spot in the area, this was our final decision, and it was a great choice! Their sushi was... pretty good, especially the Dynamite roll and Chip roll. We also ordered the shrimp tempura roll but it was disappointingbecause you couldn't even taste the crunch of the tempura. However, their tempura vegetables were excellent!!! Also, theirchicken katsu and their terriayki sauce sealed the deal and made this one my my favorite spots! Came to Ocean City for the first time, and went to an awesome sushi place. I mean 25 dollars for 3 signature rolls during the... off-season, on Wednesdays, is unbeatable! The ocean city, flying Hawaiian, and Maryland Fried rice is amazing. What a great wayto be introduced to Ocean city! Read more
Completely underwhelming experience and hands down the worst sushi I've ever had. The staff were pleasant and friendly but this... was only enough to save this establishment from a one star review. The steamed dumplings were mildly flavored and looked likethe shape of an enlarged soda cap. The fried dumplings were shaped more like a traditional dumpling but were nothingspecial. The sushi was absolutely disgusting. Every bite we took of our nigiri sushi included oddly mushy but stiff rice andabsolutely mushy fish that was room temperature bordering on warm... I'm writing this review less than 4 hours after eating,I'll update if I get sick. I ordered the ocean side dinner, two special rolls and an order of the white tuna nigiri.
