The pizza was pretty decent, especially for the good prices. It was my first time trying pizza from Delaware. I still prefer The... Dough Roller though. The service at Grottos was okay, but we wouldn't see our waiter for long periods of time (more than 15minutes). I think the fastest service was being seated and getting the check, but we're on the boardwalk. So, of course serviceis going to be a little delayed depending on how many tables they have to take care of. The bathrooms were very dirty (wet sandsmeared all over the floor, full trash, and dirty toilet seats and counters). I think it was from the people coming in andbasically bathing in the sink. I wasn't going to use the bathroom here, but it was taking so long and being pregnant, Icouldn't really hold it. So, that was one of the reasons I gave 3 stars instead of 5 other than barely seeing or waiter. Thewings were pretty good too. It was only $19 per pizza and it was very hot so it tasted pretty good. The service at this location leaves a lot to be desired. If you have a server names Christina, run for the door or else you will... feel a lot to be desired for. Right from the time she took our order for drinks, she started showing signs of poor service andit only went downhill from there. Pizzas are good, especially the Mama Grotto but not at the expense of poor service. Read more
Delawares best pizza??. It figures. Terrible pizza endorsed by a dreadful state. I?m a pizza connoisseur and have had pizza all... over the East coast and this is by far one of the worst. I?d take Ellios frozen pizza over this anytime. It made public Schoolcafeteria pizza seem good. I?ve tasted better throw up burps. Read more
Such a disappointment? we been coming to Grottos for over 25 years. A number of years ago the quality started to diminish to the... point we swore we would not return. This was my favorite stop while at the beach. This year 6/30/22 we tried once again to seeif they turn things around. Unfortunately it has not. How do you go from the best pizza to not acceptable? I love this pizza!! The best part is, the swirl of ingredients. Some bites it's cheese, some sauce, eat it sideways and get... both, it's awesome. We were on vacation 2 weeks and got 4 jr's to go for the drive home. Ate 3 on the 3.5 hour drive and 1reheated the next day, was still delicious. Read more
Always the best pizza anywhere! A trip to the beach will never be complete without it. Dan the manager at this store was... amazing tonight! We placed an order with the wrong store and he fixed us right up in no time. Even took our pic with themoon rising over the ocean! Read more

Pizza tasted fantastic. Waitress was on her cell phone and never came back to the table. My husband had to take our empty... water glasses up to the staff area to ask to refills. Read more
