Stayed at Dunes Manor and that is a great hotel, but ate at this restaurant for breakfast before leaving and it was terrible. ... For one, we waited to be seated for ten minutes while several employees saw us and kept it moving. I ordered eggs and scrapple,where the eggs were slightly overcooked but edible (they're eggs) but the scrape was soggy as hell and disgusting. Waste ofmoney. Read more
We love coming down to the bar and restaurant when we stay at The Dunes. It's pricey, but not any more expensive than some of... the other giant, overcrowded restaurants in the area. The food is delicious--we've never had anything we didn't enjoy. You canalways get a table on the deck, overlooking the ocean. Service is great. And they're dog friendly! Read more
My wife and I stay at the Dunes Suites hotel once a year, fall or summer. We have always enjoyed breakfast and dinner in the... Victorian Room restaurant. The open deck rocking chairs are nice for a pre dinner cocktail. The food has always been good,plenty, and not too expensive for a vacation town. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Quaint, quiet, and beautiful. The perfect place for my husband and I to have a date alone on the deck, watching the ocean at... golden hour. The menu is small, but elegant. Also, everything is labeled gluten free, which was very helpful for us. The servicewas friendly and attentive. A bit on the pricier side, but you?re paying for the ambiance, service, and quality. Excellent high quality restaurant. The selections are very good. Steaks, seafood, salads, etc to meet anyone's palette. The... appetizers are very tempting but I did not get them. All the prices were very reasonable and much better than the tourist trapsup and down Ocean City. It is nice to eat in a restaurant with people not wearing sleeveless t-shirts and inebriated. Awesome breakfast, amazing experience. I was so pleased to find that our hotel had an amazing decor, location, views, and... BREAKFAST. Anyone who knows me knows I love breakfast. And the Victorian Room did not disappoint. Absolutely stellar,delicious, perfectly poached eggs over fantastic home fries, an affordable kids menu, and just a delight that it was a shortwalk downstairs. 10/10 will visit again. Read more
The Dunes Manor and the Victorian room have been fantastic. We have ate there twice so far and the food has been fantastic. The... gentleman at the front desk recommended the crab cake so we gave it a try. They are really delicious. No shortage of crab andthe house sauce is tasty. The mixed vegetables were grilled to perfection. My wife started with the Maryland crab soup and I hadthe Italian wedding soup, both are highly recommend. The hotel is beautiful and a great location. The restaurant is less to be desired. We waited forever to get our food and it was... not even good - eggs cooked wrong and some of it was ice cold. They also forgot to make my son?s meal. The waitress was veryunfriendly. When we asked about my son?s food, she said that the cook was making it and it would be done when it was done. Iguess you don?t have to be nice when 20% Gratuity is added automatically. She definitely did not deserve that 20%. Worst serviceever. Read more
