Tasty donuts, but a bit saturated by the liquid toppings. And the line for pickup is artificially long because they only have... one person working the counter. Speed it up, Browns! Your guy can't keep up with your donut machine machines. Think of allthe happy customers and of all the money you could be making if you had two people working at the counter! Great service. Reasonable prices. $116+tip for 8 people to have breakfast. Not the very cheapest but right on the boardwalk... with some ocean views. Get the tables in the back left for a slightly elevated view and a nice breeze if there is one. Cashonly but ATM on site. Skip the donut line when coming for breakfast. Coffee and Soda free refills. Take your bill to thecashier to pay but leave tip on your table. Read more
I have been going to Browns for almost 30 years. I remember when this place was just a small window with a donut machine... inside. While they only have six flavors of donuts, this is all you need. They have the classics, nothing more. I prefer thevanilla or cinnamon sugar but you can't go wrong with any of them. Recently, I've been ordering the honey variety. Also, don'toverlook their breakfast menu. If you get there early enough, you can easily find a spot inside or outside. They have a greatmenu of traditional diner-style breakfast food (including Scrapple!) PRO TIP: Grab breakfast at the counter and order a dozendoughnuts on your way out to take home. They won't let you just order donuts there but if you eat a meal you can grab some togo! Read more
All the donuts should be given to the customer in a flat box. Squeezing them together on their sides in a small non flat box... doesn?t work. The donuts are hot and they stick to each other and when you pull them apart, they fall apart. Read more
My husband and I chose Browns as our rehearsal dinner location and we couldn?t be happier! Our family still raves about the... food?everything was so delicious, especially the crab cake appetizers and doughnut ice cream sandwiches for dessert.
