It was raining heavily today and Uncle Bill was still open. Parking was a bit hard since everyone was planning for breakfast... here this morning but plenty of street parking available albeit further away. It was a 10-15 mins wait before we could enter (wearrived at 10.15am) although customer starts to disperse around 11am. I had stuffed french toast and my friend has applepancakes. Portion was plenty and filling. French toast was fluffy and sweet, and the cinnamon butter pairs excellently. Usually eat at Uncle Bill?s further up on 40th street and West Avenue. But stopped here after coming back into OCNJ for a late... breakfast and lunch. I had the grits special which was very good and my partner in crime had the egg salad sandwich which shesaid was also very good. They have a fluid system of seating, serving, and hustling customers out, so the service is very goodand servers are almost always friendly (ours definitely was in this case). Uncle Bill?s has a special memory to my heart after my uncle bill passed away this year. I want to thank the manager of here as... he is thoughtful during our loss!! I finally got to visit for the first time, it is the only reason why my rating is low becauseof our experience during this outing over the weekend. First I want to share how the staff was SO friendly! We had such awelcoming entry as we rocked our Uncle Bill?s shirts! I say the Pancakes are a must here! Second the theme of the Uncle?s Billis super neat! Third the owner I think is super thoughtful. One thing that was embarrassing and super uncomfortable was thenumber of flies where we sat with here. I brought friends with us and felt embarrassed on how much I was bragging to come hereand they noticed how many flies were around us. It doesn?t feel good to eat with bugs inside. When I brought it up to thecashier, she said ?there is nothing we can do about that , we have fly traps.? I don?t think I would return to this location. Myuncle bill didn?t eat at this location so, I will try the one he went to at Wildwood for another chance. However I think itwould be helpful to look into the flies removal or find a way to not have guest not sit next to them at that part of therestaurant. Read more
Totally legit! This is a chain of restaurants along the Jersey shore, and you can believe the hype. They are fantastic! Generous... portions, polite, friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere. They check all the boxes. It is not unusual for there to be a wait, butthe line moves quickly enough, and it's worth it. The food is delicious. They serve all your breakfast favorites, not justpancakes. Although, their selection of omelettes was a bit thin. Still, no complaints. We left completely satisfied, and wouldgladly return again. Been coming here for breakfast since I was a little kid. Today?s breakfast is a great example of why I always visit here. Uncle... Bill?s has the best French toast I?ve ever had. We also tried their pecan waffle which was delicious as well. Our waiter, Brady,was so kind and attentive and very fun to talk to! Uncle bills has such friendly staff, amazing food, and a wonderfulatmosphere. I recommend coming to try their breakfast to everyone. Read more
Uncle Bills is one of those traditions everyone should try. From Ocean City New Jersey to Cape May you can find an Uncle Bills.... No matter which location you choose you can rest assured that you will get friendly service, fluffy buttermilk pancakes,expertly cooked sides and fresh coffee. I am not privy to their pancake recipe but they obviously have it down pat. My blueberrystack was light, fluffy and evenly studded with fresh blueberries. They take great care and obviously pride in the food theyserve which is why during the summer season there is always a wait for seating. I showed up in November early in the AM to avoidthe rush but as I was leaving the crowds started to arrive. If you trust my reviews you will give them a try next time you wantan awesome start to your day. My thanks to the ladies at the front desk for the food pictures. I was so intent on digging intomy food I forgot to take pictures of it. The kind woman I spoke to was nice enough to go into the kitchen and take a couple forme.
