This place is OK. Its small and rather plain with some decor, but nothing special. Located in a shopping plaza. The mead they... brew is what separates them from the 3 dozen other micro-breweries around town. They tend to favor sours and I don't, so thatputs us at odds. The golden standard orange blossom was good albeit dry. However the Primer was the golden nectar I came for.Took a growler home as well. It's a shame they over price the growlers, I bet they could sell so much more if they werereasonably priced (about half of the current price). Flight of 4 is $12 and that's reasonable. Small growler is $26 ( $6 lessfor a refill) . Overall good experience, glad we came to visit. Read more
A nice little hole in the wall that opens up into a micro meadery. Lots of art everywhere and the staff was super friendly. I... had the something, something, sour Mead and it was amazing. Keep an eye out for all of the signs and flags because it might behard to spot if you're not looking for it. They offer flights too! Dog friendly! Read more
Great mead and nice place is a little small. Bathroom was clean and easy to use but there is only one toilet. Lots of... different meads and a variety of sour meads which was new. We were traveling on the Pacific Coast Highway and wanted to make a stop at this meadery. I do everything I can to support the... bees! Got a great Groupon deal and enjoyed 4 tastings. The alcohol content was higher, making the mead dryer and less sweet, butI liked them even better than some cloyingly sweet and heavier meads. Jackie was a great host and tried to see if I can getgrowlers of my favorite mead to take on the plane back home, but alas, it was not my day. Well, that's a great reason to comeback! It's a peaceful space to relax, hang out with friends, check out some local art and play some boardgames if so inclined.It's worth making the trip. GPS will lead you to the general area, but it's tucked in a strip mall looking area, not much tolook at from the outside, but it's the inside that really matters doesn't It? Enjoy! Read more
We stopped by the meadery after finding a groupon deal. The place is located in a strip mall and wasn't sure how it would be,... but when you go in, it transforms and takes you to a different setting. It was like being in a garden with bees. The bee themeis very obvious all through the place. The mead deal was great and we got to taste 8 flavors. The spiced shower mead wasabsolutely amazing. We bought a bottle to go as well. Read more
