Got the Poke bowl and had a good selection and price was reasonable. Another visit today, 10/31/2022 Halloween.... My father... and I had dinner tonight at Kampai. I have only ordered to go with the Poke Bowl. My father had the teriyaki chicken (sorry nopics) but he enjoyed it. I had the Spicy Miso Ramen which was very delicious. Literally the best sushi spot that?s kind of a hidden gem in Oceanside as I hadn?t heard of it only due to it being tucked away... off Oceanside blvd very close to the Frazier Farms before the I-5 fwy entrance. With a better location this place would definitely be consistently over-crowded with people as the food and service is if top notch quality. I?d recommend trying thisspot over most other sushi places in the local area especially if looking for a nice quiet restaurant to eat at with exceptionalservice. Try it out for sure Read more
Decent lunch special for the price. I wish they would have included california roll or spicy tuna roll like I've had similar in... L.A. area for a few dollars less and they included ice cream. Specialty rolls were half price at lunch so I may go back and tryone next time. Read more

If you?ve ever had Japanese food IN Japan this will be a disappointment. We couldn?t even finish our ramen. The meat and egg was... way over cooked. The noodles were sticky and generic. The Karaage in the kids set was like spare pieces of the chicken and alsoover cooked. The sushi was tolerable for US standards and the best part of the meal. However the rice to meat ratio wasdisproportionate and made it hard to eat. Some people may like this because there was less rice and it seems like you aregetting a good deal. This location is by far the most authentic when it comes to sushi and environment. These guys aren?t trying to be the best, all... they care about is the freshness. And making sure people get that experience of sushi in California. It?s a great hole in thewall and mom and Pop. Birthday are covered for desserts and they accept military discount.
