This place is AMAZING! Reasonable prices, great atmosphere, personable service and delicious food! We had the fried chicken... sandwich and the short rib grilled cheese and tomato soup. The chicken was perfectly crispy and moist. The flavors were balancedso well and it had the perfect amount of spice giving it flavor while not burning your mouth. The short rib on the grilledcheese was cooked perfectly and paired so well with the tomato soup! Don’t get me wrong, that grilled cheese was delicious butI think it could be taken to the next level by adding another flavor element such as a hint of roasted chiles or something. Thatbeing said, I’d still come back for either entree and be completely satisfied! The fries were flakey and crispy. So good! We’re already looking forward to our next visit! Read more

Waitress was amazing at handling the entire dining room by herself but the food was huge disappointment. Kitchen needs to do a... better job at quality control regarding what is coming out to the diners. We had not eaten here in over 18 months and felt thequality or ownership has changed- not for the better. Portobello mushroom burger was inedible and had to be taken off the bill, one of the dinner salads was so overdressed it was inedible, and the other two entrees were mediocre. Will not eat here again. Came in today to see my buddy that was working as the head Chef, Woody. Turns out he's no longer here but I stayed and had... lunch anyway. I'm glad I did. ???? The bartender Amy was very attentive and brought me a Raspberry vodka & sprite in about 90seconds after I asked for it! So nice. Not too strong but not weak either, just right! The ice was the perfect temperature too.???? I thought about ordering the Green chili pork fries based on Amy's excellent description of it, but unfortunately I amallergic to onions so I had to choose something else. I was bummed because she made them sound so delicious. With no way to pullthe onions out, as they are cooked into the sauce I had to pass. It sounded so good I almost ordered it anyway! I ended upsettling on the Turkey Sandwich and was incredibly surprised. Way better than I expected, in fact I told her it literallyreminded me if the day after Thanksgiving, but seriously elevated! It didn't have cranberry on it but something gave me areminder of the cranberry Mom use to put on her day after T-day sandwiches years ago. Oh the memories it brought back. TheTurkey Sandwich as on the Mission Ave menu includes; Herbaceous turkey, bacon, cheddar, lettuce, mostarda, and chili aioli ontoasted sourdough. It also came with some very crispy fries, ranch, and ketchup. Perfection! So darn good. I only work a fewblocks away but haven't ever made it in to Mission Ave. for lunch yet. After tasting that Sandwich and being slightly smittenwith Amy's incredibly good service, I will coming back for more of both on the regular. I highly recommend you ask for Amy, orjust sit at the bar and you can't miss her beautiful smile and kind greetings. Enjoy! Read more

Really impressed with the Mission Ave Bar and Grill! We stopped here for lunch on a Sunday and it wasn't too busy. The staff is... very friendly, we were sat quickly and had drinks almost right away. BUT the food.. so amazing! We ordered the burger and theAsian salad and both were so delicious. We were both blown away. The location is great, just towards the edge of the downtownarea but still only a 5-10 min walk from the pier. Looking forward to stopping here again when I'm in town. Read more
