Reviews for Blue Agate Cafe in Oceanside, OR

There aren't a lot of options when it comes to dining in Oceanside, but I would recommend the Blue Agate Café for breakfast or... lunch even if there were. Especially after a morning of agate hunting or kite flying on the beach below. This cute little caféis decorated with historic photos of Oceanside and the surrounding area, and has a great view of the beach and Maxwell Point. Itis a little small inside (dare I say cozy?), so they may not be able to accommodate a large group, but they do have outdoorseating if the weather is cooperating. They keep a small lunch menu with coastal favorites like burgers & fries and fish &chips. The staff are friendly and sat us at a table even though we showed up 15 minutes before closing. A word of warning, theydo close early (around 3 or 4 most days) so don't expect to grab a BLT after watching the sunset. But that is part of the charmof a sleepy little seaside community like Oceanside. Read more

My son and I stopped in after a morning exploring the coast. The Blue Agate was full, but the service was still fast and... friendly! We shared a cup of delicious clam chowder. I had the crab tacos and my son had the fish and chips. Both were amazing! Read more

Great food, super friendly service. We sat in the patio with the dogs and they brought out a water dish and made sure it was... always full. Being right across the road from the beach was nice as well. Read more

Back for another visit since my first one was so excellent. We had a big breakfast before we got there so we decided to split... the Shrimp and Crab Melt and a salad. The melt is served open faced and with a delicious cheese melted on top. The amount ofshrimp and crab was well balanced with the fresh tomato and avacado. We opted to upgrade our salad to a garden salad from theside and they split it for us graciously. The house made vinaigrette was a great option for the fresh greens and tomatoes. Thisgreat cafe is worthy of a stop. The views from the dining area mathlched with the menu offering make this a must stop. It'sconvenient turn off the road out to Cape Meares and way from the bustle of Tillamook. Read more

Wonderful people with top notch customer service. Appreciate that they don?t highly use preservatives and are conscious of that... effort. The crab cakes were phenomenal. The chowder delightful and not super fishy which so often happens. The tacos were great!Nothing bad here to say. Read more
