We stopped for breakfast at Agave Jalisco in Odem, TX going to Brownsville and were very pleased with the hospitality from the... personnel. The restaurant has been beautifully remodeled. The restroom was very clean. The breakfast was delicious with plentyto eat and reasonably priced. Billie, Our waitress was outstanding. Gave us the best service making sure we had coffee at alltimes asking if we wanted salsa, very attentive and kind. This is how service should be given for people to return. Called in an order waiting 10-15 mins before I left my house to give them plenty of time. Got there and the line was forever but... stayed. Come to find out the person who took my order didn?t even place my order till I got to the window. The whole waiting inline and at the window was 30 mins and me calling in added up to 40 to be nice. This place is way overpriced and the food isnt even good , we had 7 people and we all got cold rice and runny beans. We told... our server and about 10 mins later someone came and asked if everything was ok. Stated our problem, and said ok ill get you somehot rice and beans. The server came out with rice and runny bean plates one at a time and the plates were hot so they justmicrowaved them all. We had a late lunch. The food was good. Great portions and the server was personable, efficient. This was my first visit. My... friend had been here several times so I knew that it was probably good. Stopped in as we were on our way to the RGV for the winter. The restaurant has a large seating area and beautiful furniture.... Staff are friendly, efficient and the food is great. We would stop in again. Read more
