Took 15 minutes to get our order taken. Took another 25 to get the food. The first steak was way overcooked, yet the eggs were... undercooked. The second steak was way undercooked. The third time it was still undercooked, but I was too hungry to care. I'vehonestly had better food in county. I didn't even make it home before the bubble guts started. I usually forget to do reviews or say anything but I just have to give credit where it is do because it is beyond do. I’ve... been up to this Dennys twice now and I just have to say that MAGGIE on the night shift is a beyond amazing and so is CATHY! Bothof them each time even though they are busy have been so on top of things and so helpful . They make the environment soenjoyable and welcoming even when they are understaffed. Maggie’s service is unbeatable when you are hungry at 2 am. I justwant anyone who sees this to know that these 2 will make it worth the wait. I can’t say it enough how much I appreciate theirservice. The two women who served us were the nicest people ever and were real about their thoughts on recommendations of the menus... items. Plus that chef in the back knows what he is doing. That was the best Denny's I've ever been to. The bourbon bacon burgerand wavy fries were the best. The starter sampler was amazing. I give high praise to the chef. Read more

10/22/2022: I dined in at 12 AM and I ordered the Mo' mozzarella burger with seasoned fries & it was delicious and the fries... were perfectly crispy and seasoned. A member of my party ordered the Nashville hot chicken melt and it was so good and thetoast was perfect as the buns. I ordered a cinnamon roll pancake which was sweet and delicious. The staff was very friendlyand enthusiastic even though it was midnight and busy. I highly recommend Denny's on 42nd & Andrews Highway in Odessa Read more

I’m a closing manager at dominos so my crew and I eat here at least twice a week if not more. The service has always been... excellent. Maggie and Iris have always gone above and beyond to make sure that we are properly taken care. There might be a waitbut then again it isn’t fast food so that’s to be expected. They food is always fresh and hot and exactly how we ordered it.Thank you lady’s for making the end of our hard days better!!! Read more

The food was delicious. We had pancakes, the 4 piece sampler with boneless buffalo chicken, and biscuits and sausage gravy. The... reason for the three stars is the place was super cold, even the wait staff had thin jackets on. The seats were very cold andwhen I asked if they could turn the temperature up the waitress said it was in a lockbox and she couldn't. The food became coldquickly but it was delicious and the customer service was great. Read more

My family, friends, coworkers and potential clients have enjoyed Denny's for decades.... The bathroom needed cleaning. So it was... very easy to pick this eating establishment for me and my wife. .... The dining room floor could be cleaned up a little bit moreunder the booths. So we sat at a table. And while there was a medium amount of business at the time, it took 24 minutes from thetime we ordered our food until my wife asked about what was taking so long with the order. I know because I had my timer on myphone running, with only an hour for the entire experience before I had to be at work myself. We both were disappointed. Becauseof our history with this establishment. The manager on duty was being a little rough with the staff. Enough that my wife and I,who are food service workers noticed it. The staff did the best they could, but the kitchen was short-handed and eventually letus know. My wife and I will go back to Denny's to eat in the future. But we will give them plenty of opportunities to fix thesituations that we were a part of that day. We will wait a few months before we go back to Denny's. Read more

This review is more in the attention of Denny's Corporate not the individual restaurant we just visited. Very very disappointed... to say the least. Let me just note, the staff and friendly service was great. The food was so so this trip, they've made somechanges due to economic reasons I'm sure. We are regular customers of the Denny's franchise restaurants. My daughter and Istopped in for our dinner, each ordering a plate and drinks. I ordered a soda and a coffee, because I'm one of those who likessomething hot and cold. I drank my coffee but only a portion of my soda. So as I have done a few times in the past, I asked foran empty cup to go as not to waste my drink. My bill was 40$ and change, plus the tip. Now mind you, my soda delivered to mytable was $2.49 plus tax. Denny's now charges for empty to go cups and thus it was added to my bill. Price of empty cup...also$2.49 plus tax. This is absolutely ridiculous. The waitress said she has been insulted repeatedly and customers being very rudeto her for the charge of the cup. I can understand, it's not her fault, but I was a bit steeped myself. So if I order for takeout...will I not only be charged for my order of food and drink but also for the containers and cups they come in??? Isn't thisoverhead expense already built into the meal cost!? In short, we may become 5 star supporters of the Waffle House in the future.Denny's needs to reconsider this policy.
