Would have left 1 star for most but after 20yrs of great experiences here you get a pass for this last yr. It's not too late to... save your biz. Just waited 20 minutes with only 1 car in front of me.. the food was cold. Hire more staff and pay thembetter. Sell the kiosk tech. I saw 2 people behind me order, then drive away because the wait was too long. I get yourbstaffcooked the food and was surprised at the window 20 minutes later. Let's go! Gone to serve yourself basically. Electronic Menu which is OK but you don't get any forks, knives or spoons (except for Shakes)... so you have to eat with your fingers, have to ask for catsup for your fries, rude employees when you ask for something. Food isOK shakes are good. Service is slow. Have been a fan of S&S for years but time to find another place to take the grand kids(did it once a week for years) for lunch and myself! No intentions of ever going back. Also floor and seats were sticky. Read more
Horrendous experience. I should have brought my tent and sleeping bag. I should have fueled up before coming here as I might... run out of gas before getting to the window?. Where there is another 20 min wait. This place is five stars away from one goodreview. Read more
Got a burger, fries and a chocolate milkshake from here and honestly only enjoyed the milkshake which for $5 you'd hope it would... be at least decent. The big issue was the mess in the restaurant as well as the huge wait for different items. Wife didnt gettheir milkshake until she ate everything else so we ended up getting it to go unfortunately. It's wonder they are still in business. Have to place your own order at a kiosk, and they immediately ask you for a tip. I did... tip but I shouldn't have as service was horrible. In fact, there is virtually no service. We ordered 2 double cheeseburgers,and cheese fries. That fact is plainly printed on our receipt. I noticed there was a large block of cheese by the employeeloafing around the grill. There were only 10 other people inside, all waiting for food. Our order came after a 40 minute wait. When I received our food, no cheese on the cheeseburgers and no cheese on the cheese fries. When this was pointed out to anemployee, they just shrugged and have a smirk. Also the wall where I was sitting had a constant run of ants up and down. If Ihad not been forced to pay immediately, I would have walked out. If health inspectors don't shut it down, I can't imagine theywill last much longer. Read more
Showed up at 2pm. Shake machine was out of order and after ordering found out people had been waiting over an hour for food. I... realize there are only two people working but if it?s that backed up it would be nice to know before ordering. Tables weredirty. Bathroom was out of paper towel. Not a great experience for our first time at Steak and Shake. Would not recommend. Read more
I visited this location on the evening of Father's Day. They were very busy, especially the drive thru. I'm adjusting to the new... concept Steak 'n Shake has moved to, but we still chose to dine in. The staff were working their tails off. They were stillpleasant and getting the food out as fast as possible. Read more
Everything was automated. Didn't even know I had to go get my own cup. Food was warm at best. To top it off the automated... ordering system tried to default give an 18% tip (to who? I did everything). For what??? They didn't even bring me my food. Itwas worse than a McDonald's. Read more
